The food is really tasty and the atmosphere is intimate. Back patio is also nice and open. We tried latte, taco, panini and avocado toast and loved them all. It is just pricey when you look at the size of a portion but we will be back.
Always a great choice with a good selection of coffee and tea, great food and the staff are amazing. Best local coffee shop, hands down. There is a park right outside the back door for kids to play while parents sip and talk.Bring a book if you plan on coming because there is a "bring one, take one" free library. Without a local bookstore, this is the next best thing.
My first time going to this coffee shop. From the moment I walked in and smelled the aroma of fresh coffee I knew I was going to like it. I ordered a flat white, it was strong enough to keep me going all day, but at the same time very smooth.
This is the spot for a quick bite and great coffee! This place takes the time to do it right. Quality you can taste in the food and see in the presentation.
My newfound coffee shop in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. I miss Corazon, but they've relocated to Houston. Discovered Blockhouse Coffee today and I'm a fan.My cappuccino was well made. I don't know what coffee beans they use, but I hope they don't stop using it. Loved all the pastries I bought, they make it with brioche bread. If they can get an air fryer to warm up the pastries, it will be perfect. Microwaves are terrible at warming up pastries. You need an air fryer oven, it returns the pastries to a crispy finish.Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program, and I believe they also do Doordash for delivery. Customer service was also good.
Great little coffee shop! They have tiny playground out back for the kids. Long tables inside for larger group or for studying. They have one of the best iced cinnamon caramel lattes! Friendly staff and good prices.
Blockhouse Coffee really is the best!! I choose them over Starbucks or Dunkin any day of the week! I can taste a difference in the quality of the coffee. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet. I've had almost every food item on their menu; as a clean eater I'm not opposed to any of their food items. Their pastries are fresh and not full of a ton of refined sugar. This quaint restaurant is even kid friendly with their large chalk board to color on and play area in the back courtyard.**Update**Loving it here as always. I never have a poor experience at Blockhouse. Sharing my breakfast sandwich (pictured). This morning I ordered the turkey sandwich on gluten free bread (originally made on a bagel). I asked for a fancy coffee, so the barista made a latte with 3 parts vanilla / 3 parts salted caramel syrup in oatmilk. Fantastic!!
This place is so cute! so much better than starbucks and the food is awesome. Started coming here about a week ago and I haven't been disappointed. Staff is very friendly too so thats a nice bonus. If you want to do homework or study I do recommend going outside to their front or back patios. It can get a kinda loud in there cause its a small space, and sometimes laughing and loud talking can be a bit distracting.
I don’t know why this place doesn’t have 5 stars overall (even though it is close to it). It is a great place, awesome coffee and very knowledgeable baristas and staff, beautiful and kid-friendly. There is a chalkboard wall for smaller kids (mine had a blast drawing on it), but it also have an outdoor wooden playground. I’ve been going by myself lately and I’ve even enjoyed the selection of nerdy books they have on their bookshelf. Go visit them. Buy local.
