Do not come here if it's within an hour of them closing. They're ALWAYS closing early unless there's a line keeping them open. If I show up at 9:20 there should be someone there to take my order. Not a orange cone blocking the drive thru and all the lights on the building off. I can clearly see people inside.Ever since Jan 2021 the quality of the food and service have been down hill FAST
I came to this location in Richardson on teacher appreciation day to get the BOGO wing deal. When I pulled into the drive through nobody answered, then when they did they asked me to come inside. When I went inside they told me the deal ended at 6 it. The promo said nothing about time. Guess they “appreciate” us only for a few hours of the one day we get. Thanks for wasting the 25 miles I drove to get here.

I want to preface this with that I think the workers were very kind and hard working. They seemed understaffed, as many places are.The interior of the restaurant was quaint and I really liked the art on the wall. Really cool aesthetics.As far as the food goes, it's cheap, adequate eats. But it cannot be overstated that, in a market where Raising Cane's exists, Zaxby's needs to step up their game as far as the size and quality of the meat itself. The fries were well seasoned and the coleslaw was actually even better than Cane's - but the quality of the chicken is mediocre (which is the most important part imo).Again, Zaxby's has some stand-up workers. Kudos to them.
Since the restaurant had been trending on social media, my child asked to try out their food. I've been told that they are known for their chicken fingers and wings. The restaurant on the inside was closed and there wasn't a line in the drive thru. I placed my order with ease. The service was sufficient and my to go order was given to me within a couple of minutes. The food was good but not great. My coleslaw didn't seem fresh. I took a couple of bites and decided not to finish it. It was hot. The chicken fingers were pretty good with the Zax sauce and I liked the crinkle cut fries with seasoning. The toast wasn't as crunchy as I would have liked for it to be. Overall, good food for the most part at a decent price.
I don't get the hype behind them. The toast is good but other than that there's nothing special about the chicken. No special seasoning or sauce. Just mediocre fried chicken tossed in Buffalo sauce you can buy from any stor
It was hot and fresh. I wish it was a flats only order. I would've happily paid extra. So, I traded drums for flats with Husband?. We ate in the parking lot because the lobby was closed ? the wimpy sauce tasted like hot sauce with added sugar somewhere in that range. Oh yea .... the chicken fingers was good ?
Lady at the window is *always* short with you and angry. Can't hear nothing from the speaker. Order was wrong when I got to the window. Asked for 1 #1 regular, and 1 #1 tossed in sweet and spicy. After getting the order "right" at the window somehow got a sweet and spicy tossed #1 and s Buffalo tossed #1? Never had a good experience here. I suggest management look for people who speak clearly, listen well, and are eager to get a paycheck. Fire the people who dislike their job.
COVID masks are mandatory, as informed on entrance doorways. However, not one of 3 visible staff members were wearing a masks. Basic, unmotivated counter customer service. Smaller portions than at other Zaxby's. Coke dispenser (mega offerings, pick your own flavors) out of calibration with spray head getting cup and hands covered in sugar water.
Found a ROACH in my food!!!I've eaten Zaxby's from Atlanta GA to Birmingham Alabama to here now in Richardson tx and this was the ABSOLUTE WORST Zaxby's I've ever been too. The employees were rude I will never eat here again. Get better managers and associates that actually care
