Best Soul Food Ever!! My husband and I go all the time. My favorite is the Fish and Shrimp Salad. Whatever my husband gets, I taste his and OMG, Mac N' Cheese, delious.. Go check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Yesterday was my first time coming back here in a few years since, I moved out of state. This is one of my favorite places to get the Jumbo Jive Turkey Burger. ? Ms. Paulette moved to a new location and this is a very nice restaurant. They were out of turkey so, I ordered the Mack Truck burger with mayo, ketchup and mustard with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon and a side of fried okra. My sister order off of the lunch selection of foods and we ordered the Fat Catfish plate to share. I got the mixed kool-aid of blue raspberry and fruit punch. The food is still absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order. I always come here when, I'm in town. I would highly recommend coming here to eat. the food is the best. ??Update:I went back for lunch on Sunday and ordered the Jive Turkey Burger with fried cabbage on the side. I'm including those pictures. It was hot and delicious.

I highly recommend this place. Everything I've tried has been good. We've had the meatloaf, fried pork chops, smothered pork chops, beef tips and rice, neck bones, fried chicken, candy yams, Mac & cheese, vegetable melody, cheese squash, corn, and chili beans all good. Don't forget the peach cobbler and the little pies?. I always separate my food because I can't eat it all in one sitting.

Picked up yesterday food was great large portions enough for 2 days.

I hadn’t been able to visit since Trucker’s moved to Richardson. I’ve always loved the fried chicken salad. I was in the area and decided to stop by and OMG I wasn’t disappointed. The salad will last me 2-3 days. I could actually share with several people. The place was clean and the lady at the front was so sweet. I will be back soon.

My husband and I bought a Groupon for this restaurant and didn’t even use it. We arrived at the restaurant on Friday, May 6 around 4pm ish and there were no other persons dining. We didn’t let that stop us. When we walked in, there was no smell of cooking food. Okay. We saw a lunch line style serving counter- one with sides and the other with meats. Also one with deserts- and it wasn’t even lit up to showcase the deserts and the banana pudding looked old. There was no heating lamps to keep the food warm, nor were their any lids. (A lot of places don’t have lids, true, but this is the case usually when business is rapid and they’re selling out of food quickly) but it was a lot of food precooked and just sitting there uncovered. To be very honest, the food did not look appealing at all. I don’t know what time the food had all been cooked but it looked as if it had been sitting there a while. (I wondered if they were going to put it in a microwave after they fixed our plates because like I said, the food looked cold-room temperature at best) The fried chicken looked sad and everyone knows fried chicken is best when it’s freshly fried, and yet it was just sitting there…and the gravy looked congealed. My husband asked the price ranges for the meats and was told it depended on which meat he got. I’m sorry but if I’m paying $17 for some food, I want fresh food not something that’s precooked and been sitting out for a while. I don’t mean no disrespect, I’m just being honest. Why is the food just sitting there? I feel like a good restaurant knows when and how much food needs to be cooked depending on when they’re going to be busy or not. There was no one there, therefore the food could be cook to order. Needless to say we politely said never mind and walked out.

#Keyword #BlackOwned ??? Keep in mind EVERYWHERE you go these days, they’re short staffed! I was also told they lost a loved 1 named #Blue, so my condolences to the family ?? So PLZ DONT criticize during this time! Patience IS DEFINITELY a virtue, cause the food IS ALWAYS good, I’m sorry: DELICIOUS ??? I’ve been eating from this place for yrs & I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. They’re known for their HUGE/Humungous salads & their hamburger called: The Mac. Check them out if out in the area & support small black owned businesses!!

Food was amazing! Had dental work could only eat soft foods, and from mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and candied yams...FORGET EATING my previous diet! Super delicious! Customer service was excellent! 100% will be back! I would've given a full 5 *, but the ONLY thing I can even HALFWAY COMPLAIN ABOUT, was the wait, line was out the door! To me? Must mean they are doing amazing! ? ? ? ?

Had the smothered porkchops, collard greens, and Mac n cheese. Gave a great portion and the food was good. However, I saw the eatery on Groupon and decided to try it out. I purchased 2 coupons but could only use 1 per account per visit. Please take notice. The people running the place is nice, but they need more help.
