Ordered a Tom Yum soup and Pad See Ewe via Uber Eats delivery. Once it arrived and the soup was opened up, we were taken aback by its unusual appearance. It looked like a tub of raw vegetables floating in a slightly murky water, not the reddish opaque broth that is to be expected in tom yum soup. The broth tasted like watered down pickle juice, with very little flavor. It was briney, salty, and bland, with absolutely no spice. The vegetables were bland and undercooked with the same bland pickle flavor. Whatever this was, it wasn't like any tom yum soup I've tried.Thankfully, the pad see ew was tasty if not lacking in spice as well. A little Sriracha made it quite tasty, and it ultimately saved the meal.Unfortunately, their version of tom yum has left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively. I don't leave reviews often but I felt the need to do so tonight. The presentation and flavor of this "soup" was so bizarre and unpleasant I felt the need to warn people about ordering it. This was our first time trying Thai Soon Restaurant, and it may also be our last.

This is a small traditional place, as authentic as it gets, it’s very down to earth. Prices are extremely good, lunch/ dinner entrees can be $11/$14, and they have all the traditional Thai dishes and appetizers. The server was extremely nice, and food was fresh, tasty and good portioned. They have restrooms, and parking is available both at the front and the back. it’s on the smaller side they have about 10 tables, but I can fit small and large parties (up 6 or so) but the space is limited so I recommend you make a reservation.

First time here, small place but I loved it! I had the red curry chicken. Spicy level 3. Not even spicy at all but it was delicious!

Best Thai in Richardson, also has the distinction of being locally owned and operated for a loooooong time. My personal favorite dish is the Massamum Curry, but I usually just pick something random here and it’s always spot on.

Traveled from Houston TX and so happy I found this hidden gem in close proximity to surrounding hotels in Dallas Park Central.1. Lovely atmosphere2. Excellent customer service3. The food quality and portions ?4. It was so good I went back 4hours later and ordered more food for the road trip home. I couldn't stop thinking about it when we finished lunch and went back to our business training.5. It was not crowded, easy to park wooden polished tables clean.6. Vegan friendly options, they worked with us and removed eggs ? from rice ? ?. They are very flexible with substitutions.7. Told me the history of the art I was admiring.8. Ordred crispy spring rolls, fried rice with onions and Eggplant ? curry no rice extra eggplant no ?. That food was BAE (Sorry no pics of food posted a reel of the food on ig @sirentherocker , too busy eating and enjoying it.

The food smells and looks professional and the taste is out of this world. I have never tasted so much flavor in one dish. Simply delicious!

EXCELLENT! Omg. So good. Red curry with tofu. The vegetables are the star here. Cabbage and eggplant in addition to the carrots bamboo shoots zucchini and bell peppers. Omg. The spicy level of 4 is a delightful hit without being overpowering. In the lunch you get a fried roll and soup/salad. I got the soup. It’s all top notch. Got this on my way home from physical therapy and now I’m wishing I had found this gem when I started pt. A real treat. Amazing.

I have been coming to this restaurant for more than a decade now and it has never disappointed!! Service is excellent, super friendly faces and helpful. Family own.. please support small rest.

Cute non-descript BYOB place with great food & the portions were enough to have leftovers. This BYOB place has bare bones decor but a lovely find to enjoy a great meal in the company of your friends. Did I mention it's BYOB? Always important when trying to save on funds. ?You must try their corn patties & egg rolls. So far, my favorite dish is the spinach flat noodle curry. My family gushed over their plates of pad woonsen with shrimp & scallops.

Very satisfying "hole-in-the-wall" neighborhood Thai joint for pick-up / delivery. Staff is kind & friendly. Menu selection / portion sizes are good. Overall, the menu items I tried were delicious and prepared with care / attention. The Thai Curry recipes are unique compared to other restaurants (all Thai restaurants specialize their curry recipes to stand out from others). I particularly like the amount of vegetables given in the Green Curry -- a fresh, wide variety of vegetables (with the option to add more for $2). However, the stock is less thick / creamy compared to other places. This might be due to the amount of vegetables or less coconut milk. The Pad Wood Sen is the healthiest noodle dish. It consists of thin glass noodles with a lot of fresh vegetables. More dry, less oily. Delicious.Unfortunately, I forgot how the Tom Kha soup tastes (and whether it's thick & creamy or not).Good appetizer selection & taste.
