Tried them for the first time since they are near the house. Wasn't disappointed. I got medium heat for my dish, which is probably the limit of what I'd comfortably like. The place is a lot bigger than you'd think from looking at the outside. I went by for lunch and it wasn't completely packed, so there were tables instantly available. Servers were friendly.
Great great food! My first experience, I sat outside and had a great server but I do not remember his name right now. (Young Caucasian male). He gave me a great recommendation for a dish.I only gave it 4 stars because of my second visit. I have a thing when businesses “request tips” when you’re picking up food. And to make it worse, the take out table is up front but the lady waved me all the way to the back to the bar…. There’s no tip for that.Anyway, food is delicious.
Me and my wife stopped by for lunch on a Friday. We were greater as soon as we walked in the door, and the grest service never stopped. Our drinks never went empty, the food came out hot and tasted delicious.Thank you for a great lunch!
Pricy, yes. But worth it. Decent portions and authentic flavors. Love a restaurant willing to get spicy.
I always love Thai Thumbz. It was a favorite lunch spot pre pandemic. For $10 you get miso soup, salad and an entree ($10 or less). That doesn't seem to be the case recently though. I finally went back after 2 years. I'm not sure we have that option anymore as only the entree was served this time. I typically get Thai fried rice or crab fried rice, all always delicious and a pretty large portion too. This time I tried the chicken satay and it was quite tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant...
Incredible Thai house, food is delicious at all. Nice staff support and kindness serving and caring people. I do recommend this place during your visit to Dallas / Plano region.
I tried Panang curry, pad Thai, Seafood salad, Papaya salad. This place is the best Thai restaurant in Richardson! Highly recommend!! Thanks for making nice food. Healthy and yummy!! ?
Great place for Thai food. Enjoyed their fried calamari and drunken noodle.
This place made me sad. First off the food is about $5.00 too high per plate. Not excessive but a little ridiculous. My bigger issue was that the decor felt like an upscale Italian restaurant meets a Texas sports bar. It felt like a Thai restaurant for non Asian people who were too shallow to appreciate eating at an Asian restaurant that has an authentic ambiance.I enjoyed music from Jimmy Durante, Sinatra and a few other American oldies. Nothing felt Thai...The drinkware was so American and whitebred. Tea in a mug with a handle and a teabag hanging from it, geez.I'll give it a 4 because they do a service as a gateway for people too afraid to have authentic cultural food from other nations without it feeling like a completely American restaurant with American decor. It's a good gateway to Thai cuisine and the food was good. The sticky rice wasn't very sticky like what you'd get from most Thai restaurants but everything was nice. The tofu was interesting and even a pleasure. Sliced and coated differently, almost felt like slices of meat. The curry we had and the pad thai were very nice.
Was impressed on our first visit to this restaurant. We ordered drunken noodles with Tofu and chicken, both were very tasty. Went for the spicy hot but was able to finish it. The basil fried rice with chicken was great too. We recommend this place.
