Up from San Antonio and Resturant was suggested by friends. I saw pictures and the rating and decided to give this a try. I don’t normally post but thought I’d share. Brisket although was tender was very flavorless. The sausage tasted generic. H-E-B’s tastes better. The ribs were also tender but again no taste. The potato salad had way too much dill. The best part was the mac and cheese and also chicken and brisket torpedos. The baked potato was ok but offered very little condiments on the side. The fries were cold but that was due to the drive back to the room but yet had better flavor than the meats. Definitely not worth the price or the 4.4 stars. Presentation of the food was good. The restaurant looked very beautiful and modern but I feel that over shadows the quality and may blind customers eyes.
This is the epitome of a BBQ joint in Texas. The food is so tasty, especially the brisket. Not a fan of fatty brisket and theirs is super lean. The atmosphere is awesome! It’s clean but still has the fun BBQ vibe. Definitely will be back!
The brisket is not tender at all but some advice, just chew it extra long. Everything else tastes delicious. Specially their banana pudding. If I’m being completely honest, this is why I come here. It doesn’t taste like the artificial banana flavored one, this one tastes like the banana pudding grandma makes from scratch. All their sides are very tasty! That’s what the 4 stars are for… Not the brisket. Very pricey for brisket that isn’t juicy and tender if you ask me.
I´ve been there based on a recommendation. It´s an absoulte cool place to go in order to have a great BBQ. The brisket and the pulled pork and the sousages were absolutely great and tasted amazing. I liked also the torpedo a chili wrapped in bacon - tasty! The meat is served with a nice selection of different souces and side dishes. The restaurant is furnished in an unique style that invites for a longer stay. I enjoyed the fried okra, a dish I tried the first time there.
Meats are awesome. The beans are an insult to the pinto beans. It tasted like syrup n ham. The coleslaw was overwhelming with cilantro. Soapy taste. Again the meats are awesome. Bake potato is a bake potato. Will be back for the ribs. Sauce not required.
When you're tiny and ask for only one rib and the guy serving up meet makes a joke and tries to serve you one whole rack for your lunch.... you've found good people! We really enjoyed every bit of our dining experience at Ten50. The food was amazing! So good that I was crying inside it when it was gone. I had ONE single rib, two slices of perfect brisket, one each of the Torpedos, a side of mac n cheese, some corn on the cob and a banana pudding. I can only imagine the look of surprise and awe on my face when the young man magically offered me an unsolicited to go box and mac n cheese lid after I had been trying to wrap up my leftovers with the foil from my friend's potato like this is what normal people do, right?I am already dying to come back!
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I will definitely be back.
I went a few times to 1050 BBQ. You order at the counter, first choosing meat, then sides, sauces, dessert and drinks. Choice of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, wings. While waiting in line you can see the smokers in action, great setup. The brisket is to die for to my opinion. Super tender, moist, nice smoky flavor and well seasoned, no need for additional sauce. But also ribs and pulled pork are very good. As a side I can recommend the potato salad, really very good. If you like bbq, you cannot go wrong here. Best times to go is outside lunch dinner hours, then the restaurant is very nice and quite. Atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, friendly employees and full stocked bar
Nothing to complain about. Great taste, quick service with good variety. I had pulled pork, brisket, ribs, green beans, potato salad. The family didn't like the potato salad but I loved it. Even though I purchased to go, the seating area was massive. The pits are located outside along with the wood ... very nice setup. Kinda like serving fish with the head on ... anyway ... check them out and compare to your favorite rib joint.Btw, IMO the sauce was excellent. The ribs didn't need sauce.
Very good pulled pork, and even better ribs. Mac n cheese and corn were average, but I’m here for the meat, so no biggie.
