Always a favorite! Been coming to this place since it opened and the food is as delicious as I remembered. We got the large catfish which was enough for 4 people who don't eat too much lol. Definitely recommend ordering extra appetizers or more catfish if you want to stuff yourselves. I did try their flan for the first time---which was so yummy! It's not overly sweet. The texture is also firmer. And absolutely love that they put ice on top. Kept the flan nice and cold. Service was fast and efficient for a busy Saturday night.
This is a charming place for a date night. Can cook raw meat over a hot pot, or go big with the catfish entree - I think those are the two main dishes folks order here when I walked around the tables.
We order for take out a seafood and pork vermicelli (Bun Mam). Eating half way through and we found this insect/bug cockroach inside the broth... immediately throw everything away..will never come back here ever. Feel sick to my stomach just by thinking about it again while writing this. Now I'm not even sure if my health is gonna be ok eating like half of the soup while that bug is still inside
Best baked catfish that I have eaten. Very moist and the fish had so much meat. The skin was crispy.I consider myself a expert on baked catfish. It was that good.
Best Fish wrap I've ever had, come with 2 kind of sauce and lots of veggies and side dishes for wrapping! Also love this place for BYOB:-)
This place is simply the best. The star of the show here is the roasted catfish. They by far have the best vietnamese style roasted catfish in DFW. Their dipping sauce is what makes it great. The 7 course beef is a must have too. With these 2 items, you can feed an army and we did just that! We had a table of 17 people. And to top it all off?? This is the place to go if you want amazing fried fish; can order medium, large or X-Large size fish. They provide all the condiments to make your own spring roll with the fish! Delicious ?
I dropped my AirPod Pros in the seat and tried to come back and find it. I connected to it using "Find My" app and it showed that it was far away, but still in the building. One of the employees was nice enough to bring the trash bag out so I can see if the app indicates whether or not the signal increases. The app still showed that my AirPod Pros were far away. I walked around the restaurant and the signal increased when I was at the wall next to the kitchen. I asked if I could go and check back there with an employee supervising me, but it wasn't allowed because the manager wasn't there. Two customers who sat behind me confirmed that they saw an employee take my AirPods and at that point, I told them that I was going to call the police and press charges. Shortly after that, they claimed to "find" my AirPod Pros in the trash can. I'm 100% sure they didn't want any trouble from the police and finally just decided to give it back to me.
We love their baked catfish and all the fixings. Goes well with banh hoi. The bo 7 mon dish is not too bad.
First and foremost, the food was good! Not great but good and the fried catfish lettuce wrap entree was flavorful! Heard it was what they are known for. We walked inside and the manager (old, short, skinny guy), did not greet us or even acknowledge us. We stood there for about 2 minutes and I didn't appreciate him disregarding us; especially for someone who's never been to the restaurant! So, I walked up to him and asked if we could sit ourselves in the corner. Before I could finish my sentence, he held up his index finger and told me to wait. Extremely rude and disrespectful as a manager; head of the restaurant! If I spoke Vietnamese, I am positive, I wouldn't be treated that way! However, the only issue I found while making a wrap, was a DEAD BABY COCKROACH on a bean sprout! The roach was part of the vegetable tray to make the wraps with catfish. After finding that, in my food, I didn't want to eat anymore; felt like throwing up. I could tell the sanitation of the restaurant is not their main priority. I'm sure, even with this issue, people will still go and spend their money here. It's a popular place for a dish so different! Please be aware of what is in your food...
