I don't usually leave reviews.....but if someone would've put on the previous reviews that they use absolutely no seasoning on the fried fish ,shrimp or fries I wouldn't have came to this place. On the bright side, the staff was nice and the food was hot and fresh!! It looked beautiful!! Service was speedy!!! But there was absolutely no seasoning at all!!! We even tried putting salt and pepper in the ketchup.
Fish Shack remains a “go to” fish option! The food is very good and a real bargain at their prices. Fish Shack is do much better than Flying Fish that there’s really no compa!
We took our granddaughter there for her 13th birthday because she loves crab legs. This was our first time to Fish Shack. Her crab legs were definitely too old to be serving. Kind of had that slightly fishy smell that seafood gets when it's not fresh. The two stars were for the friendly staff. My husbands fish tacos were pretty good. My clam chowder and crab cakes were decent not great. The crab legs looked good. They were big but disappointing, especially for a special birthday lunch. Won't go back.
First time here. I got the catfish/shrimp basket and it was very good. It wasn’t over-battered. It was fried perfectly. Great hush puppies too. So happy that they had a little bar of ingredients (horseradish, worstershire, lemons, etc) to make your own cocktail sauce. I will be back.
This local establishment is a rare treat for a taste of the coast for me and my significant other with it being close to our place of worship the commute was amicable ,with a wide variety of sea life to partake in. the array of options are a festival for the taste buds to placate even the pickiest of eaters . Our order consisted of a plethora of items ranging from fried catfish to calamari with sides of onion rings , and fish shacks signature gumbo ,hush puppies ,even a seldom seen grouper po boy all the comfort of southern seafood in one establishment the catfish and shrimp were divine as well as the po boy of not to often seen grouper I highly recommend the fried dishes with everything being cooked to perfection you should choose this as your next seafood destination . Our wait staff was extremely courteous and attentive to our order and responsive to our request the one caveat of our lunch dining experience was our table placement being too small if you are dining with more than two people request the larger table as their main tables are extremely tiny for a table of 4 we were plate to plate and elbow to Elbow if I were the manager of the restaurant I would get slightly larger tables to accommodate more people and disabled parties , one respite was their hard to find hot sauce that paired exceedingly well with every dish provided . For food 5/5 for seating 2/5 overall I recommend choosing this place for your next seafood excursion just be sure your seating arrangements are able to support your dining party.
Fresh seafood with reasonable price. Fast service. Fries basket is delicious. Boil seafood are okay. I like seasonong at the Boil crab better.
Pretty darn good and i am a seafood critic. The fried catfish filets are good and smoking hot. I'll have to say the seafood gumbo sucked. The fried grouper sandwich was great and lots of fries. Like steak fries and good hand battered onion rings. All reasonable prices.
Grilled mahi (daily special) was dry and bland. Fried catfish + shrimp basket was heavily battered with thin, dry fillets and shrimp.
My dad loves this place. Not only was the food great, but they were very accommodating for the cake we brought. Thanks for another great experience we will be back.
Lots of things to choose from (decent pescatarian selection). Great prices. Love to sit on the patio, but spacious inside.
