We like coming to Edith's, the food is good and the people are nice, but a few things are consistently an issue when we come (and became even worse under "new management").1. Extremely slow service. It shouldn't take an hour to get our food. If a place is short staffed and wants to keep operating, they should have limited seating and limited menu items. We were brought our order 45 minutes later and only half the order was correct. So much less of a struggle for the staff.2. Staff training. We ended up eating the wrong order since we didn't want to wait another hour, and then the CORRECT order was brought out when we were finished.... No communication between the front and back of house. I also ordered a French 75 which I never received, was most likely forgotten about straight away. Our check was also incorrect and I had to go find someone to adjust it.3. Professionalism. Staff were standing around behind the bar doing nothing while there were at least 5 other empty and dirty tables that needed to be bussed. Some of the same tables were not bussed by the time we left an hour later. The bar was filthy, with towels, glasses, cleaning stuff scattered everywhere. Sorry, but there is no excuse for a lack of professionalism and that ultimately falls back on management.I live walking distance from Edith's and we like coming here, but we will not go back nor recommend Edith's if this is how it continues to be, this is completely unacceptable. As a restaurant manager myself, I'd love to see this place succeed, the food is good and the space is really cute, so I really hope that they can properly train their staff and find some structure here.

Terrible service! Only 2 servers and 1 cook working on a Sunday morning. Took over 40 minutes to even take our order. Food took another 40 minutes. Food was cold when it arrived and mediocre at best. Way over-priced, especially for THIS food and service. Will not be back. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

We had been to Edith’s in Richardson when it originally opened, and also tried it a couple of other times, but our main complaint was that it never seemed well organized. It would take forever to complete a meal.Upon learning there was new management, my friend and I decided to try again. Same complaint about service taking too long, but this time overall, we were just disappointed with the food, the flavors, the amount of food vs cost, etc. We hope you guys are successful. We are rooting for you, it just doesn’t seem to be the right place for us.

This place is hands down the best I have found in Richardson. Went there the first time about two weeks ago and it was so great I had to go back this past weekend. The restaurant itself is just about the cutest I've ever seen, the food is good enough to spur a happy dance, drinks are great and reasonably priced, service was beyond amazing (thank you Elliott and Logan!). I cannot recommend this place highly enough, go check it out, you won't regret it!

I have to say that I'm really impressed with this place. We went for 2 major holidays and while there were a few hiccups, the service more than made up for it. Mother's Day obviously gets really busy at a lot of places. It seemed that maybe they got short staffed. We ended up waiting a very long time for our food and I was worried that my 3 year old would meltdown. Here's what set Edith's apart:1. They brought my each of my kids a bowl of fresh fruit to help hold them over since the kitchen was so backed up.2. They brought me (mama) a nice size extra mimosa as a sorry.3. When the food did get there, it was PERFECT and absolutely delicious. A lot of places rushing don't still put the quality into their food.4. They took some money off the bill to make it right (we hadn't even complained, just knowing what a busy day it was) which I think is VERY classy of them.5. Even after all that, they insisted on me picking a few pastries to take home for free. That kind of quality and service is what will bring us back again, even though my Mothers Day brunch did not go as expected. I want to thank them for taking care of us as well as the excellent food. The steak and eggs were delicious and perfectly cooked, my shrimp crepe was awesome, and of course the kids loved the French toast. All I ask is that one day they actually have the quiche available! :)

This was the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. We were one of the first tables seated and received our food two hours later. We never got a drink refill, waited over an hour for coffee, never received napkins. It was our waiter’s first day, but he spent the whole time talking to a table of women. Someone who didn’t even work at the restaurant ended up taking care of us near the end! A backed up kitchen is completely understandable, but being actively ignored by the waiter and not receiving any drinks for over an hour is terrible. We have never left a restaurant so angry before.

Despite the place running a skeleton crew, my friend and I had the best time. We were one of only three tables, which may have helped. We had the fig/brie and smoked salmon tartines and they were so good! The arugula saiad was also very good. Our server Elliot was very accommodating and the manager kindly checked on us as well. I hope this location can come back from whatever tomfoolery the previous staff engaged in because everything was very enjoyable and I hope to go back.

Terrible service and bad food. Half of the menu was not available, but they didn’t tell us until we tried to order! Called ahead to see if we needed a reservation and got hung up on. Just awful and disappointing in every way. Don’t bother.

Short-staffed (although they were very nice and apologized for the wait times) and the food was just okay. Took almost an hour for the food to come out (I had pancakes) and it’s overpriced for what you get. Took thirty minutes for my cup of coffee to come out. Saw other customers walk out since their food was taking so long.

Tashyra was awesome with us! Food was great and Mimosas didn’t hurt the experience either!
