We ordered several dishes for take out. The chicken lollipop or butterfly chicken was raw inside. It wasn’t undercooked. It was raw. I had already taken a bite, when I noticed, because the texture was so strange. We live 20 minutes away, but we’re told we needed to bring it back for a replacement. Why would I want a replacement? I called and told them that I didn’t want anyone else to get sick, and was concerned about the well being of their restaurant. The managers (I spoke with more than one) were extraordinarily rude, and didn’t believe that their chicken could be raw. They refused a refund without seeing the chicken. While I understand why, I can’t believe the arrogance and the lack of concern about something that’s a big deal. Raw chicken is no joke. Additionally, the quality of their food has gone downhill. While it’s always been hit or miss, it’s gotten worse.*Response to owner -The managers didn’t understand me, and were patronizing from the beginning of our conversations. I didn’t threaten to close the store. I said that I had called out of concern of what would happen if someone got sick, as I wouldn’t want their store to be shut down. I said that after their responses, I no longer cared whether their store was shut down. His response to this was that I was threatening him. He told me I could bring the chicken back for a replacement. I told him I don’t want a replacement, this belongs in the toilet. He laughed at me and asked how I could bring it back if it was in the toilet. I’m sorry that he didn’t take the time to process what I said. I didn’t ask for a refund for the whole meal, just the chicken. The managers’ said that they don’t know whether their people are being truthful, as they have been cheated before. While I understand that they’ve had bad experiences, and I’m sorry about that. I think it’s unfortunate that they approach their customers with an assumption of dishonesty. It’s disrespectful to us.
Think of an American diner but serving Bangladeshi food. All tasty with somosa, Biriani and a lovely Mando lassi. An informal eaterie...order at the counter and take a booth.
The Chicken Biryani was delectable and the portion sizes are huge when dining in!
I ordered dhakai kacchi biriyani but it’s not even close to kacchi biriyani.it looks like they took it out from refrigerator and microwave it to serve us, even not evenly hot, some part of rices are cold and some are hot, just disgusting. If possible I mark them less then zero. Pls don’t go to waste your money.
This restaurant should be rated zero stars. The food is no more as it was. We ordered a goat biryani and we got a dish of rice of four pieces of bones with no meat. The rice was cold and the taste has nothing to do with the real biryanis.
Although it’s written as ‘indian restaurant’, it’s actually a Bangladeshi restaurant. So know that before you make a choice. The place is very tidy and clean, including the restrooms. We ordered over the phone and took out the food. The Dhakai kachhi biriyani and chicken roast ( comes with naan/rice). Both the dishes were terrific, and huge in portion. We loved the food. Next time I wanna try their ‘morog polao’, fish, kababs etc. if you decide to eat here, go for some authentic BD dishes like shahi biriyani/ kachhi biriyani/ fish/ mughlai parata/ roast/ kababs, instead of butter chicken/ tikka masala. You won’t be disappointed. I’m definitely going back again and again.
My third time here, am starting to love the flavors. I have tried his Kacchi Biriyani, Tikka Roll, Tandoori Chicken, Beef biriyani and Beef Samosas. All are unique and impressive. The prices are great for how large the portions are. And as others point out, the owner is a humble down to earth guy.
First time trying this Indian restaurant. Last one I visited was in Ann Arbor, Michigan and I gotta say this place was just as good, if not better. Pictured is the Biryani with beef (bad lighting/at my house) but taste was excellent and customer service is great. I ordered extra spice level 5 but beware that will have your mouth on fire (which I like). The beef was perfect and so tender. The samosas are definitely a favorite and I love the sauces that come with it. Excellent pricing. You can’t go wrong. Will be back again :)
Great spot overall, I can’t say there’s one aspect that really stands out among their local competitors, but also no aspect lacking either. Well rounded on food, pricing, service. And I like what this business offers so I hope they keep up the good work!Oh and they play some pretty neat travel videos on a nice big screen, I don’t know why it’s not done more often in other places but it creates a really cool atmosphere while you’re eating.
Hi!I really love the food there. I usually get food from there at least once a week. With being good food I am giving only one star. they lack in one key factor that is customer service. I went to pick up the food and I asked for water the server told me they only have bottle water. I was like which restaurant don't serve water to guest. So, I have decided I am going to take my business somewhere else.
