Really cool restaurant serving up some authentic Detroit-style pizza! They have an open kitchen concept. Menu has traditional and non-traditional flavors and build your own. Their dough is light and aerated, toppings aren't skimpy, and are super fresh and vibrant. Their marinara sauce is extremely garlic forward and has lots of chunky tomatoes pieces in it. Overall, highly recommend checking it out!We got the Elote- style and the honey pig!
Mediocre. The crust is spongy and greasy in regards to the traditional Detroit style. I think the crust is premade. I saw a stack of cooked crust where they prepare. Also got the thinner crust style Honey Badger, down right disgusting. We ate a few slices and trashed the rest. The meatball appetizer was good. Service was good and cool environment but this ain't Detroit pizza.
The salad and pizza were very good. We ordered the large pizza and medium salad. It was more than enough! Everything tasted very fresh. We’ll definitely go again.
The pizza is delicious! The atmosphere and the bartenders are so fun! The food is decently priced. The drinks are pretty expensive! $10 for just one drink! But all in all, it's so worth it! I had such fun talking to fellow customers and the bartender!
We are so glad to have this restaurant nearby! From the moment you walk in the door the team here is incredibly friendly. They are also very knowledgeable of the menu and have great recommendations. We happened to have a toddler on our visit today so all we got was the picture of the black and blue cocktail. It was great! We also had the meatball appetizer and they were packed full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We got the Detroit style Pig Riot pizza and it was phenomenal! It was perfectly chewy with an amazingly crispy crust.HUGE shout out to the service at this restaurant. We had a toddler and just wanted a nice meal, great drinks and get out the door (before a huge storm) and they made sure that happened.Thank you again! We can’t wait to go back.
Amazing spot to get pizza. Never had Detroit style pizza so hopefully this is authentic. we tried Motown Seoul and it’s amazing! Soft bread-y crust and flavorful toppings. Highly recommended. We will be back to try more piesb
Pleasantly surprised. Never had Detroit style pizza but the flavor combos are legit. We had the Caesar salad and the homemade dressing is delish. The Seoul town was our favorite. Mucho gusto and the pioneer was good as well. Definitely going to try other flavors on our next pizza night.
We were so excited for the opening of this place . Really had high hopes . Way way way over priced, for the size of the food. The small pizza fits in the palm of your hand . The amount of grease on all the items , basically the boxes were dripping with grease . Worse then any thing we have ever experienced . The salad was thrown in a pizza box , cool concept but so gross . At lease put a liner or tray inside the pizza box so that it’s not touch the cardboard .
Born and raised in southeast Michigan, I had to try out this new “Detroit Pizzeria” near my house. The food was actually really good (though the “small pizza” was disappointingly small), the staff were excellent, and the environment was pretty awesome. ***BUT… You CAN’T feature major Detroit musicians on the wall and leave out Detroit Rock n’ Roll LEGENDS Ted Nugent (aka- “The Motor City Mad Man”) and Bob Segar, LOL… Come on, seriously? I’ll even donate the posters to you, if needed for the sake of keeping the Detroit integrity of the place, LOL... KillA Pie Detroit Pizzeria, I like what you’re doing, BUT you have a couple of legit updates you need to make asap! This is all love from a guy who grew up near Detroit and I’ll probably be back, but put Ted and Bob on the wall and I’ll switch my review to 5-stars. Deal? ? ?? ?
Very good waitress and pizza was good, although the crust was a bit too thick for my likings. The apps came after the pizza which was no big deal. We ended up taking almost the whole pizza home. We're got the large. Next time we'll try the thinner crust.
