Absolutely loved the Pollo con Champiñones! The sauce has an Amazing blend of flavors. I ended with their churros and ice cream. Great Atmosphere and Service! I will definitely be back.
My family and I came to Gloria’s tonight after being disappointed by the service the last few times we have been. We were seated right away on the outside patio and it was very pleasant even though it was 100 degrees outside. Our server Mercedes brought us all water without even asking first which was fantastic! She was very attentive to all of our needs the entire time we ate. It was refreshing to have such a great and friendly server this time around. I am so glad to have given them a try again!
These morons actually forgot to put the chicken in my daughters chicken tacos. I kid you, not, all they did was include a hard taco shell with nothing in it. They wrapped a hard shell taco in tin foil, with nothing in it, how could that make sense to anyone?
Service was courteous, friendly, prompt and attentive. The atmosphere feels like you may be in a far away latin country. The free chips, salsa and bean sauce were outstanding as well as the beef dishes. The jumbo shrimp dishes were not on the same level. Texas shrimp is usually world class. The jumbo here did not have that fresh, juicy feel but were still ok.
Horrible experience, I had to wait an hour to receive my to go order. They messed it up twice! Not only that no one answers the phone when you try to call ahead & when they do the phone disconnects! Very disappointing bc I love Gloria’s. This was on a Monday evening at that smh
Nice atmosphere and great place to meet friends
We arrived about 4:00p on a Saturday, feeling like early would be good. We walk into an almost empty restaurant, only to be told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Only thing I can think of, is they were understaffed.I didn't really want to wait, but my wife got the final say. It was just over 40 minutes when we were shown to a table, the service wasn't bad, our waitress was in training. The first sign things were off, the salsa was basically diced tomatoes, no heat or spice at all. The salsa should have been an indicator for the food too. Bland and no spice or flavor really. My wife had the Enchiladas Verde (don't know the real name) and had to ask for extra verde sauce just to make it less dry. It didn't add any flavor. I had the Enchilada Trio (again, not sure of the menu name) and it wasn't worth a third of the price paid. Just no flavor. We have been to other Gloria's locations and not had this experience before, this location is closer to our house, but we won't be making that mistake again any time soon. After 5:00p, we did see them start seating all the open tables, my assumption was they had more people scheduled for the after 5:00 shift than the down time between lunch and dinner. My advice is just wait for this location to gets it act together or just skip it and hit another one instead.
Food and drinks were Absolutely perfect. Waitress was a bit dry. No smile just looked like she was not happy to be working or maybe had too many tables. Not sure... but this new location in prosper is definitely very nice and the food is on point. We will be back just won't get the same waitress. I'll definitely ask before being seated.
I finally got to try the new Gloria's and Prosper tonight! I have been eagerly awaiting them opening. My friend and I went around 6:45 on a Thursday, we were quoted 25 minutes and ended up probably waiting around 45.I was really disappointed that this location is so bland. The Gloria's off of 380 and McKinney is also pretty bland but had more flavor than this location for sure. As a designer, it always hurts my heart when restaurants go so safe and neutral. Truly not visually appealing at all. There are so many things that they could have done in the bar area and throughout the restaurant to make it more interesting, they definitely failed the mark on design, sad to say. Even the few art pieces were boring. The lighting was very low, I appreciate the ambience but I can imagine that that is difficult for older clientele. We ordered a margarita, my friend asked for no salt and was given salt anyway. The drinks are very strong, you can definitely taste the tequila in them. I'm not a huge Margarita fan, but considering they did not have green beer for St Patrick's Day, I decided to give a margarita a go. They did a flavored rim on mine, that had a nice flavor. The bartenders were very friendly. It took a while for the server to stop by once we finally made it to our table, but he was friendly and had decent follow-up. They served the black bean dip and salsa with chips, great flavor. The restrooms were nicely done, I liked the sconces and doors, had a nice tailored touch. The pricing was reasonable. We ordered tamales for an appetizer. They were definitely unique. It was potato and chicken and was wrapped in a banana leaf. My friend really enjoyed them but I thought they were a bit mushy, I'm used to the masa being firmer. My friend ordered the flautas and I ordered the combination plate. We both really enjoyed our meals. The patio had a pop of color with the neon light, which I appreciated. They also had varying heights of light drums for some visual interest. In my mind I was critiquing and redoing the restaurant, which is never a good thing. One should be interested and the eyes should be visually stimulated.I'm a fan of Gloria's, though, and I will be back. But, please, for the next restaurant, MORE color!!⭐⭐⭐⭐
We really wanted to love this place but it was just okay. The hostess was having a bad day and not very nice. She needs a vaca asap. We waited 25mins for a table while we sat and watched 6-8 empty tables in front of us, smh. The brisket quesdillas were greasy. More like a short rib of sorts? Tried the strawberry margaritas that everyone raves about and honestly don't understand the hype. They weren't bad, jus meh. Our waitress was sweet, however she kept dipping her bracelet into our chips/salsa? No thank you. Lolzzzz
