Friday night June 24, 2022 I call them at 8:46 pm to ask the time they close. They tell me 10 pm. I tell them on the way and ask if that's okay. We arrive at 9:05pm door is locked. Wouldn't be writing this review if this was the first time, but it's now the third time this happened (shame on me) which is why I called in the first place to confirm. This is the last time I'll attempt to eat here.
Came here for the first time. Food and drinks were really good. The server was great!I highly recommend it!
We go to the Prosper Ernesto's at least once every other week and love it. I love the dinner combo with the beef & chicken enchiladas with the queso sauce or I also really like the chicken chimichanga. My husband loves the chicken fajitas and also the chicken chimichanga. The portions are great especially the chicken in the fajitas. They definitely don't skimp on their portions and the chicken is always perfectly cooked and very tender and juicy. And, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to other places that we have been to. Their chips & salsa are wonderful too. Just the right amount of spiciness and the chips are always nice & crunchy. We tend to get there by 5:45 so we don't have to wait, but by the time we leave the place is usually packed. Great atmosphere for a small mom & pop type of place. The service has always been great too. This is definitely our #1 go to Mexican place.
I have always really enjoyed this restaurant. Tonight I’m sitting in the restaurant and in the section of tables I’m in there are at least 6 tables that have dishes stacked & trash on the flood underneath the tables. I noticed this after the hostess seated us and we had to request our table be wiped clean. The food is still great but the atmosphere is unfortunate.

If you dine on a Friday or Saturday evening, ask for Claire! Excellent server!
Breaks my heart to give it a 3 star when once it was a glowing 5 stars. Ever since a very beloved server and his family parted, the new staff struggles. We have been back a couple times and even if it is not busy we will stand by the door for awhile without acknowledgement and have even watched the server staff hide in corners and text on the phone over helping customers. Although not quite as it once was, the food is still pretty good.

Wow, I am just blown away by the customer service at Ernesto’s!!! This was the first time I have been here. I came here with my daughter, and boy I tell ya. It’s been a week from you know where! We didn’t want to go to somewhere super crowded and franchised, we wanted to have a nice hot meal and to be able to sit and relax and have a nice margarita to just unwind from the hectic work week. I suggested here, because I’ve seen it so many times before and have been meaning to try it for so long. We get there and there is a 15-20 min wait…no big deal. It’s a Friday night, it’s to be expected. We are seated and served our chips and salsa, our drink orders are taken and whoa…they are much larger than anticipated! Then we get free queso because we had to wait awhile…come to find out they are short staffed…they still did a phenomenal job serving us. They took our food order and I’m not exaggerating it was literally less than 5 mins and we had our food on the table! I told our waitress Giselle, DUDE are you serious??? I know she had a really bad day because Heather never meets a stranger…tip your waitstaff well because they are working hard folks!!!! And be kind to them also! Please visit this local establishment and visit often! They are definitely worth becoming regulars!
