Lovely place. Been awhile since I was there. Ordered chicken fried steak and it was tasty but not for the price. At the Texas Roadhouse it is twice the size and 3 dollars cheaper. Mashed potatoes and green beans were very good and I am not a green bean person. A friend had fish tacos and said if he had a fish stick it would have been more fish. For me fish don't belong in a taco so no problem. Another couple on a diet were going to split a meal and told wait staff but they never got an extra plate to split! Rest of orders looked ok. Wait staff was very friendly.
Giving it 2 stars because the server was really nice and friendly. BUT the food wasn’t great. We ordered the alligator bites appetizer and that was yummy. However, my partner ordered the chicken avocado sandwich and he was not pleased. He said the chicken was dry. He had asked for extra avocado and didn’t get it. He also ordered the bayou fries which were supposed to be topped with gumbo sauce and crawfish and there was not a single crawfish tail in sight.I ordered the ribs. They were ok. Dry but edible. The worst part though was my side—loaded mashed potatoes. The potatoes were soured and had gone bad. I reported it to the waitress and she agreed they were bad but the kitchen didn’t believe it.No compensations were made to reconcile the problem, either.I ended up with an upset stomach later from the one bite I took.
Good food. Service was ok. Our waitress became the bar tender and we never saw her again. Cleaning stuff used was very strong and smelled like chlorox. No Covid here.
Absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our visit here! The young lady who took care of us was fantastic. Took our orders (4-top) without an order pad. Got every details correct! Food was so, so good! Everyone enjoyed it.If you are in the area, do yourself a favor.... STOP in and eat. They have a nice dance floor too. And I'm told they have live entertainment regularly.
We were reluctant to try this place again. Our last visit was underwhelming (when they were under previous ownership). BUT, since the new owners have taken over I cannot express the complete 180 in service and food quality! Please, if you are hesitant to try this place because of the previous ownership, FEAR NOT, this place is now really amazing.I had the crawfish 50/50 and it was perfection. Our table had several appetizers, you really can't go wrong with any of them. We all left very full and very satisfied. Their cocktails are unique and delicious as well. Give them a try if you haven't already! A hidden gem on the outskirts of mid-county!
Absolutely, terrible! The parking lot was dead and now,I know why. Every food item went up and the portions is half. My border catfish was totally raw, so I paid $15 for fries. Shrimp taco were less. My 3 orders of tomato’s had no favor, they need the old sauce back. I paid $95 for the 1/3 of food for 4 people. Last night, I got high quality food from a different place for $100 and 8 people. We even had leftovers. Pictures of border catfish in trash.:(
I had the best bbq crabs. My aunt had the oysters she loved them.
My preference is for a more flavorful etouffee. This one was watery tasting. Could not detect any green pepper; nor nuttiness from their roux.
Sausage and chicken gumbo is my go-to at this place. It is a REALLY good gumbo (although this time a little too salty). I think it’s high priced for lunch. The staff is great, and the place has a honky-tonk vibe to it. I’ve had shrimp tacos, which were good, except I’d use something other than a “Tupperware tortilla”. PoBoys are good as well. You have to try this place out.
The food is not that great. Waitress was very nice.
