This location offers Chinese cuisine also! Therefore, the selection of Japanese is cut back. I didnt see wagyu beef on hot rock, bummer. We had Tonkatsu Ramen (4.5 stars), Chasu Pork (5 stars), Takoyaki (3 stars), fresh salmon sashimi (5 stars), Salmon Delight roll (cucumber wrapped) (5 stars), Butterfly Kisses roll (salmon wrapped) (5 stars).Fresh salmon 5pc - $15, the 2 rolls - $15 each.Service is as expected...not excellent, yet not bad.Atmosphere is not for dates, for family rather. More on the Chinese restaurant style atmosphere, than Japanese.
Good med fresh Sushi.Wife like Chicken Teriyaki, but low flavor in Teriyaki sauce. Sushi was little more expensive than other places.
Went here for 1/2 price sushi on Sunday. Yes 1/2 price sushi!! Just keep in mind it is a select menu you can choose from on Sundays for the 1/2 price. We also ordered chicken lo mein to go with our sushi for two. Sushi was very well made and tasted fantastic. The lo mein had lots of flavor and liked the great mix of veggies inside the dish. Service was pleasant enough. Will definately come back!!
A fun spot for late night meals! If you’re craving authentic Japanese food then this is the place to go. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, I highly recommend their eggplant in garlic sauce with sticky rice, it’s delectable!
Went here for a late dinner and was not very pleased with the food or the service. The food is average. I had no opinions about it and neither did the people with me. The lady who was hosting us was not very friendly or maybe it was just too late in the day for her. Being a Ramen fan i was completely disappointed by the ramen. The only one bowl of Ramen I couldn't finish. It was just too bland. The appetizers were the best part of our meal and that was about it. Maybe we ordered things that aren't their specialities but not a fan. If you are going here specially for Ramen I would suggest going to a different place. Everything else is good. The place is clean and has a good ambience.
I love the food here! Fried rice is my favorite. Happy hour after ten for ?!Customer service is not great, but the food is worth it.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food and service never dispaoint. I would highly recommend Yama.
DISSAPOINTED. STINGY WITH WASABI PASTE. I ordered the most expensive roll $24, and I asked for extra wasabi when I called and when picking up the order, I checked and there was little wasabi. I asked the lady, AGAIN, to put more wasabi and ginger and she went to the sushi chef, but only gave me more ginger and not more wasabi. I am a frequent customer and I order takeout often at their restaurant, and they won’t even give me a little extra of their wasabi. From now on I will go to a much better place like Edoku Sushi & Robata. If I would have eaten at a table, they would have given me as much wasabi as I would request. Why not for take out? I asked for two pairs of chopsticks and only gave me one set. Cheap management. I will protest by taking my money elsewhere.
Most izakaya in my area are pretty straight forward...but this place has a different feel. I can't explain it but the tempura mix was good. Sushi was good. Server even talked me into a Quail egg shot which I've never seen before but it was great!
If you're looking for a place to get sushi, THIS IS NOT IT. This place cuts corners to overcharge you. Not only is the Sushi about the size of a US quarter, as you can see from the photo I posted, the taste is sub par. BUYERS BEWARE, this place is not worth your money, time or effort to even give it a try. I will not be buying from this place ever again.
