We went tonight for my hubby's birthday. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. The sushi was very good/ fresh and the sizzling dumplings were tasty too!! We had a Shrimp tempura roll, Red Cannon roll and a Philadelphia roll. The Korean ribs were not my favorite. That doesn't mean other people wouldn't enjoy them, I just personally didn't enjoy the overall flavor of the meat/sauce. Something about it tasted off. The staff was very nice and attentive. We would go back.
Uni Sushi is the place to go if your looking for a small, nice, and cozy sushi spot with great quality dishes. The service has been on point with nothing but friendly and responsive people. Highly recommended sushi restaurant in downtown Plano, TX
I've had over half the menu and have only had one "eh" thing from here! The rest has been consistently good eatin' They have exceptional service they are so friendly! I hope they stay open to provide great service and even better food for a long time.Edit: I forgot to mention they have the biggest sushi rolls I've seen they do not cheap out on you in the least bit!!
Wonderful, authentic sushi joint in downtown Plano. I was staying in Plano a few days for work and saw this place had good reviews, and it didn't disappoint. Quaint environment, great and attentive customer service, and my Snow Mountain roll was delicious. The meal also came with miso soup, which was a nice touch.
Amazing. Saw a listing on our neighborhood website that this was the best kept secret in Plano. It was awesome. Service amazing. Quality of the sushi..amazing! We will definitely be back!
The presentation and quality of food was immaculate. Also, the environment was intimate and sultry. I highly recommend this restaurant for date night!
While the Giant Burrito Roll panders to Tejano palates, the many other standard variations are truly delightful - the Cherry Blossom Roll (how can the Chef go wrong here - honor at stake), the Snow Mountain Roll, the Special Dragon Roll and the Dazzle Roll.Small cozy place that evokes the Gemütlich feeling a la Nipón. For romantic sushi lovers, of course, Uni Sushi checks all criteria.
The reviews are 100% accurate. This place offers an intimate setting, phenomenal service, and great tasting food! It’s apparent from the entire meal that they take a lot of pride in the customer experience. Pricing was less expensive than other comparable sushi spots and absolutely rivals the best of them. Great place for a date night in the heart of charming downtown Plano!
I've been visiting Uni Sushi since they opened years ago, and I can't believe I haven't reviewed this gem of a restaurant until now.The service is outstanding, first of all. Always friendly, affable and, best of all: real. No pretense, which is very refreshing! They let their food and decor speak for themselves (and the decor is very inviting and relaxing).They take incredible care of every order, whether you're a first-timer or a long-time regular. I have never been disappointed in my experience with Uni. Not once. And that is quite a statement from a 10+ year resident of downtown Plano, where the restaurants and moods change on a yearly basis. Uni is the ultimate consistent.If you are looking for an authentic and personable experience in the area, please give them a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Excellent service. Very attentive and organized. Loved the miso soup and sushi and rolls. Atmosphere is calm and tasteful. Will definitely come again.
