I just got some trompo and tripitas (tripe) in corn tortillas. Tripitas were clean and tasty and trompo was well seasoned. I loved the grilled onions and “toreados” chiles on a side. Both green and red salsas are good but if you like spicy food you’ll be disappointed. That’s where the chiles toreados did the trick.I will definitely be coming back to try a torta in the near future, and the gorditas, and the sopes, and the burgers, and the menudo.Prices are reasonable but on the mid-high side.
Went there today with two work buddies. Two of us had the trompo plate (3 tacos al pastor, rice, and refried beans) and the other guy had the trompo bowl with no rice. We all loved our food. Ever since I had some tacos al pastor in Mexico City 10 years ago I had been looking for the equivalent here in Dallas. I had eaten a lot of phony al pastor, chunks of what seemed like guisado de puerco and pineapple. Very few places had a real trompo and those that did were far from my workplace and home. Finally I stumbled onto this gem, tucked away behind the convenience store at a Valero. Gas station tacos--the best kind. There 3 somewhat smallish tables so go early if you plan to eat there. By the time our food was ordered and ready there was a line out the door (Friday @noon). Lots of takeout traffic. They do a brisk business. It's in a part of Plano that has more South Asians than Hispanics so you might be surprised about its location but there it is, un pedacito del D.F. in the heart suburban Dallas. Go figure.?
My first time trying this place and it was good ? I got the chicken nachos and my boyfriend got some gorditas and tacos. The nachos were perfect, gorditas were loaded, and the tacos had good flavor. We also got some carne asada fries but weren’t a fan of the fries taste. Will definitely come back.
I had beef fajita tacos and they were so good and they fill them up with a lot of meat. I’ll definitely be ordering again better than fuel city
The Trompo Burger is disgusting. Lots of greasy stale chopped up meat on a bun with cheddar cheese melted all over. It was literally inedible and went right in the trash. The Trompo nachos were the same! Very disappointed! Stick to the tacos here. They are at least edible.
This place is the spot to go if you’re craving some delicious tacos. I’m Mexican and I’ve some had some dank tacos before and this is a dope spot. The trompo is spot on and the salsas are fantastic. I’d suggest eating there so you can enjoy it fresh!
great trompo tacos and quesadillas. We ordered a chorizo quesadilla and it came absolutely stuffed with delicious chorizo. The garnishes on the side, even for a pickup order really took this place above my expectations.
First time ever having trompo. Got this delivered with Uber Eats and wow they are the best tacos I've ever had! Probably going to be ordering a lot more
A friend of mine mentioned this place to me yesterday. I ordered chicken taco plate, Trompo street Tacos and a barbocoa Quesadillas. Best I've had at a reasonable price. Try it! Awesome!!!
Ayer hice un pedido y a pesar que la sazón era buena la cantidad era mínima y la carne reseca. NO LO RECOMIENDO. De 4 tacos que pedi solo puede rehacer 2 para que tuviera una cantidad aceptable de carne y obvio me quedé con hambre.
