We ate at the Plano restaurant on Preston Road this afternoon. We were a party of five with no one else in the restaurant except the staff. The food was ok but one of our party only got half the ribs he ordered. I ordered a gin/tonic and asked for a large glass with more tonic than gin. I got a large glass about half full. When I asked for a little more tonic, waitress brought me a small (about 6 oz.) that was about half empty. She charged me $4.49 for a drink that was quoted $4 because it was "happy hour" and an additional $2.79 for tonic. When we questioned the charge, waitress said that was the only way she could charge our account. We will not be back.
Just left out and this isn’t a place I would go back to. We waited patiently at the door to be greeted. It took maybe 7 minutes for the bartender to notice us. Once he did he did hustle to get over to us. We could tell he was busy so it was fine. The issue started when he sat us. The bartender sat us in the middle of another servers section. A table in front of us, one to the left and one behind. The server walked passed us multiple times and not once did she greet us. Again we get that some places are short staff but to not be acknowledged at all was upsetting. We waited patiently again for a little while more to see if she was just a little busy. She never came and spoke to us. Multiple workers made eye contact with us but the bar tent ended was the only one to even speak to us the whole time we were in there.
We walked in. Stood behind a family that was already at the hostess stand. No one acknowledged us. We looked around the mostly empty restaurant, and decided to go to another place and I'm happy with our decision. As we pulled out of the parking lot, that family was still waiting fit anyone to seat them. I think this place is on its way out.
Bad customer service from the get go. The place had one family eating there when me and my wife arrived. Hostess sat us at a dirty table, we moved ourselves to the next table. Waited for 15 mins for someone to take our order. Waitress/Hostess seem to be annoyed by my wife and I. Mistakes were made on our order and waitress blamed the kitchen, which is fair but if you noticed so something was wrong at first why still bring it out. Bad experience overall.
Service was ok, we sat at the bar tables.. Bar tender was friendly. Drinks were good.. Food took forever to come and the restaurant was not busy at all on a Friday night. Food was good, hot, and good portioned.
There was only 2 other families there. We waited awhile to be seated. It was very warm in there. After we were seated we waited to be served. After 10 minutes of waiting with very few people there we got up and walked out.
I have been ordering food for the past year form this location. Every time that I order steak well done, is not even cooked. However, today the steak that.was placed in my order was like.1 onz. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back.
This is a family favorite for quick eclectic bites and burgers. The Jack Daniels ribs have been a favorite but recently I tried the Sizzling Skillet Flank Steak with cheese, onions and peppers and loved it. The cheese was just starting to char which tasted amazing with the grilled onions, steak and Jack Daniels sauce.
Stopped in here today to see about getting some lunch, got seated but ended up leaving without ordering. It was just a really weird vibe to the place. Practically empty in the middle of the day on a Saturday, but we still never saw a server the whole 10 minutes we were there. The super bright fluorescent lighting in the place did not help. It felt like a hospital cafeteria. Ended up telling my husband that it was too sad to eat in and left to go across the street
This place has a few issues...Lights:The lights in this place are a bright white LED light. It hurts to look at anything else but the floor.Dirty:The light fixture had BBQ sauce on it. The table behind us had to request clean silverware multiple times.Slow:We got nothing but appetizers - boneless wings, potstickers, and egg rolls. All things you could get at the grocery store. The food took forever. The Togo section had people waiting for 20min for their orders.Mask:I could see into the kitchen. No one was wearing mask. When the wait staff was in the back the mask went down. When they came out the mask came up. Why bother with the charade? The wait staff is touching their mask to put it back on followed by touching people's food. ?Overall:I have been to this location off and on over the 20+ years it has been open. I don't think I will be back.
