They have a very simple menu but it is filled with great food and drinks.Had a great brunch with 4 people. Pizzas were all good, we had 4 different ones. Spicy blood marys were excellent with celery and either asparagus or a green bean. We split a giant pretzel that came with some really good stone mustard. Will definitely be back to try more of their food and drinks.
So I will start with the one weakness. They say they have outdoor seating but it was closed in. So that was a disappointment. But the food store wasn't. Everything from the free focaccia and basil oil, to the bruschetta, pizza and pasta was excellent. No complaints on service. Highly recommend!!
Taverna Rossa is a cute little pizza spot in Plano perfect for a family meal! We went for our weekly family pizza Friday and they were playing great live music. The live music is on a stage that’s pretty much in the center of the restaurant. We arrived right at 6 and only had to wait about 20-25 minutes on what was a very busy Friday for them ( they had a wedding party going on). There’s plenty of waiting of room outside to sit and for the kids to walk around. Our boys enjoyed the kids pizza and the pretzel with cheese. The food came out very quickly which we really appreciated it!The stag salad was good and they even split for me and my husband and served it in a cold salad bowl. The only complaint I had is that the fig pizza was over cooked and seem to lack any kind of sauce so it was dry and not good… it could have been that we ordered wrong and we’ll definitely plan to go back and hopefully will enjoy another pizza more than this one.Overall definitely would recommend this place.
Stopped by for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the lunch special was. $12 for a salad, pizza and drink! I decided to try the deviled eggs of the month and the queso as well. I didn’t try any cocktails as I had to head back to work but I can’t wait to checkout the bar! Overall the food was a 10/10 as well as the service!
First time here, came for lunch. Was told about the lunch special on pizza. Not only do you get a good sized personal pizza (like 9 inches, which is more than my wife gets, but she's still satisfied) you get a delicious salad with it too. Highly recommend checking this place out for lunch or dinner. I'll definitely be back.
Wow, I have to say I am not surprised often by a restaurant, but they did it here! We had looked into going to another pizza place but the wait was too long on open table. We live in Rockwall, about 30 minutes away and wanting good Pizza. So, we jumped in the car, made a reservation over the phone and away we wentWhen we arrived we were impressed with the layout, the mood, and the all around atmosphere of the location. We were seated fairly quickly and had a server named Dillon that sat us.There was live music, that played some great music and I could not help myself and found myself belting out a few lines on occasion. They have a great selection of beer and spirits and I had an Old Fashioned made with Buffalo Trace. Dillon recommended I try out one of his favorites, and it was sweater than my old fashioned and left a syrup feeling on my lips. Not my cup of tea but still not terrible. The pizza was fantastic, like, next level good. We ordered the smoke house BBQ pizza and the Pinky Pig. Have to say, both were something that I will be ordering again. We started with the cheese bread, it wasn't anything special really, just some french bread with melted cheese and we opted to have the salmi adde for $2 more. Good, but not worth the $10, would have rather paid an extra couple bucks for anther pie. We had a salad, but I forgot the name.We will be back for sure. The pricing is in the neighborhood of 15% higher than it should be for everything across the board from drinks to pies. Many places are not taking into account that when you charge these rates, when a customer comes in, we know we need need to add at least 30% to account for the tax and tip. I would have had a 3rd drink, but at $11 for an Old fashion ($15+ after tax and tip) I decided to pour myself one at home that cost me $3 with a better bourbon. Stand alone with better parking and a more upscale atmosphere could justify the pricing in my eyes. I will be back, but when our bill was $150 for 2 pies, a burger, 4 drinks, appetizer and shared salad I was in a bit disbelief for a moment.
Always have a great time at Taverna Rossa. Great location amazing food and drink selections. Allison is always great and makes sure everybody is well taken care of. Stuffed mushrooms and stuffed pretzel are highly recommended
We had a holiday part in their back room with the bar. We had a way bigger group show up than we had planned on. Amanda and the rest of the staff was very accommodating in opening up more space for our guests. The bartenders were attentive and got drinks out quickly. The chef made sure we had enough food for a big group, continuously bringing out pizza after pizza! Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend for your next event.
Great place and awesome customer service! The lasagna was phenomenal! ? Highly recommend sitting at a booth on their patio. ❤️
Fun place, food is consistently excellent, pizza-to-die-for, cocktails awesome and be sure to try the Queso (w/Fritos...amazed!).Good with larger parties, though always best to do that early evening. Live music always good.Hope you enjoy as much as we do!
