Please Just Don’t do it!My partner and I were looking for an authentic Place to eat as his from Antiguan. Oh boy did we not know what we’re getting into. The rice was mushy tasteless rice the “Jerk chicken” wasn’t even jerk chicken more like stew chicken. The cabbage was absolutely horrible! All you could taste was black pepper no other seasoning. We also got a passion fruit drink which was flavorless and made us feel like we’d gag! The curry chicken my husband had was just okay. The food ended up giving both my husband and I food poisoning. On top of that the food was just prepared very Lazily. Don’t even try to call to complain the lady/ manger is very rude and lacks customer care! I truly don’t know how they are still open!
I was so eager to taste this food. It’s straight trash. The so call Jerk Chicken was horrible, cabbage was not authentic and the rice and peas was none existent. I wasted $40 on fake beef patties and trash food. The chicken even smelled like fish, what the mess is that.
Had great Jerk Fish and Jerk Shrimp dishes.Amazing flavorful fish and rice.
Not close to tasting like jerk chicken (it was boiled then maybe baked/ NOT how jerk chicken is made at all), rice and peas was mushy and the cabbage was not cooked through. I returned my food, would not recommend this place. Nothing close to tasting like authentic West Indian food.
After living in Florida for over 2 years it was so good to return and find that the food, portions and atmosphere is still Awesome.
This was just so disappointing. Didn’t realize this was primarily buffet food. This was not made with love. The flavors were not there. The jerk chicken was just broiled meat with rub on it. Plantains were fried so hard they were dried out. Beef patties were practically flavorless. I do NOT understand what others were eating to give any better of a rating. It’s like the ONLY Jamaican spot within 15miles of my home but I will not be a return customer. Seriously the worst Jamaican food I’ve had in the DFW area.
This place has the best soul-food. I sure do miss it. While i was pregnant with my son i ate the oxtails and cabbage and rice daily. I could defiantly use some of that great cooking of Mrs Rehans right now. Defiantly a 10 out of 5 recommendations. Anyone making a delivery??
I get it, Jamaican food is not for everybody. However, taste of the islands is wonderful. After my first time, my mouth had a cigarette. If you are a “chicken nugget and french fries” person or a ketchup only hamburger person you won’t like it. If you are a true foodie, you won’t regret it.
The location was recommended. There was a wait in line but the service was friendly. The food looked good and smelled delicious. The order of beef patties, jerk chicken, and vegetables were very tasty.
The food wasn’t that great, to be honest. I googled “Jamaican food” and the location directed me here. I ordered the jerk chicken plate and it was kinda mediocre. I expected a little more than what I got as far as quality of food, but it was about a 4 out of 10. It was about 6:30 on a Saturday so And they were not busy so maybe it was terrible timing. I’m not going to give this place another try though.
