I purchased this cake for my sisters bridal shower. It was very tasty but there was absolutely no decor other than the inscription I requested. For $60, I expected some flowers or decor at least!
First picture is one hour after I got the cake and 2nd picture is 3 hours after I got the cake. The weather is not even bad because it's spring and the cake is inside the house with AC. The cake collapsed on the other side. They didn't make it good. I'm not satisfied at all. We tried other bakery before and it's not like this.
Ordered a custom cake, the customization was apt but the taste didn’t meet our expectations. It was way too sweet to our liking even after mentioning we don’t like flavors that are too sweet. The 6inch marble cake flavor didn’t taste as expected, the cake inside was less and it was heavily frosted. Had to pay $100 for just the design and half the cake went to waste.
I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing this place is. First I ordered the Baby Yoda cake & it turned out AMAZING. The kids & adults wanted a second piece. I also brought home some different flavor individual slices & it should be illegal. It is by far the best cake I’ve ever tasted. I drove back to Louisiana with all of it & it stayed perfect. This will be my go to place for all birthday cakes moving forward. Absolutely amazing!
This was my first time visiting, and it pains me to say this, but it wasn't for me. Let me say the customer service is absolutely top notch. I was welcomed as soon as I entered and they answered the questions I had. I got the vanilla, red velvet, and Gran Marnier cupcakes and the birthday cake slice. I loved the icing on the cupcakes but the cake portion did not taste good. The consistency was poor and it was very dense. Also, the cupcakes are really small for the price. The slice of cake did not have good flavor or icing. The sprinkles on it also tasted old.Overall, the customer service is great and I would recommend this establishment for that sole reason. I just didn't like the product flavor or see the value with the price.
New to TX and I had a craving for cupcakes and found this place. Nice and clean place. So many delicious choices and all except for 2 flavors had rum in it. If you like drunken desserts this is the place for you. I tried the strawberry cake, it was good but I think it is was super moist, sometimes can be good or bad depending on your taste bud. Oh yeah, I also tried red velvet and amaretto cupcakes, both very good. ? will return for more red velvet. Yaay!
I googled for the best cake factory near me. I got the hidden gem which’s with 4.9 ratings.I drove down to the Rum cake factory in Plano. The one of associated speaks very politely and explains all the different cake options. If you want a fancy cake, they need more than one day to prepare the custom cake.But I requested to prepare a custom cake by end of the day and showed couple of templates.One of the rum cake factory associates explains the possibility of preparing a custom cake.They told me wait until 5:00 pm but I got a call from Rum cake factory by 3:30 pm saying your cake is ready.The cake is really fantastic and lovely for anniversary but the price is $130 for 2 lbs cake. The taste of the cake also really super good.Due to high price , I gave a 4 stars.
The cake clearly speaks for itself! This place did an incredible job on my baby’s first cake. I sent an image and they delivered! I highly recommend. The cake was good too!
This review is long overdue. I have ordered from Rum Cakes Factory on several occasions for birthdays and gatherings. It is a big difference when ordering for a wedding; especially when it’s not your own. I highly recommended the bakery to a friend of mine. She agreed to order her wedding cake from Rum Cakes Factory. I remember being very nervous and wondered if it was going to be of everyone’s liking. The bride and groom came to our table and raved about their wedding cake, and other guests as well! It was a big hit! The staff catered to their wishes and made this festive occasion a memorable one.
Yes Yes Yes! Cake that tastes like yummy yummy moist cake. I have had the chocolate and the Italian cream and both are so worth the money. If you need a cake for an occasion and want a cake that tastes amazing, this is your place. You can go in and buy ready made cakes, cupcakes and slices of cake too!
