The Fried Pork Chops were really good. I ordered two sides of greens and a side of cabbage. The sides were bland, no seasoning at all and because I eat a lot of vegetables that is the only reason I gave a 4 because the vegetables mean more to me than the meat but I will try them again in the future and I recommend if you're in the area to give them a try. They offer alot of soul food options.
Learned of this place from Food Review and interview done by BGreaterTV and the food was awesome, filling, and fresh! Definitely will be dining again, new family spot!
My friends and I did not have a great experience. The food is ok...small portions for the price. For instance, the cornbread portion was a 2x2 little square. All of the tables were dirty and are small in size. The toilet didn't work properly. Last but not least customer service was definitely lacking to say the least. No one greeted us. They only spoke while ordering, the plates were brought to us one at a time, no one thanked us or said goodbye.
We have been looking for some good soul food in the North Dallas area for almost 2yrs. Guess what? We finally found it!!! The smothered pork chops over rice , savory greens(no sugar) and creamy mac and cheese was bomb! My husband had the fried chicken wings and pound cake that gave us LIFE!!! Everything was delicious. Excellent customer service, owners and staff were friendly. The “K” in PK came around to check on us as well as the other customers. You Don’t see that very much these days. We appreciate it and will patronize this business bringing family and friends to your establishment. Cleanliness is next to Godliness! It was nice and clean so God had to be in the place , blessing the food and the hands that prepared it! Its the little things. I pray for a fruitful business and doors that never close!
Food was great the whole vibe was great from the customer service and more! ?
Food is so good!! Fried fish (swai). Not many places have this option and it’s done very well. The green beans are so well seasoned!!! Deliciousness and not so over cooked that they aren’t green anymore - that sometimes happens with soul food. I’ve had the sweet potatoes, collards and mac and cheese. All yummy. I haven’t had a bad meal or service experience here once.Sundays!! If you love yourself you must try the smothered pork chops. I try and get here as often as I can. Its a laid back environment to enjoy your meal with tvs/music. The staff I’ve interacted with have been kind and friendly. I enjoy supporting this black owned business!! You will too AND your taste buds will thank you ?
Outstanding tonight! My wife and I tried the fried catfish and five different sides. Everything was great. At first, I was happy that all the sides were correct (several other brand name restaurants have not been as accurate lately). My order was ready when I arrived, and all of the sides were individually packaged to prevent spilling. The catfish was fried perfectly, and the sides were wonderful. It was a great experience.Mom & Pop restaurants serving great-tasting food need to be supported. Yes, they sometimes have challenges, but I have had issues at "several" major brand restaurants this past year (it was a rough year).Note to Owner: Suggest that your site state to CALL for Pick-up. The Online Ordering only allowed a Delivery selection at the time I ordered.
Had a chance to eat at PK's and the food was excellent, and the service was extraordinary! Pat and Kelvin are true gems and understand how to serve good down home tasty bbq and provide a comfortable atmosphere for their patrons. Oh btw, make sure to order the Mac & cheese as well as some of that southern style sweet tea.
This is some of the best barbecue that I’ve had in a very long time. Close-your-eyes-and-plug-your-ears-so -you-don’t-miss-a-thing good. I travel quite a bit for work and nothing quite beats a real plate of barbecue. I had the sampler and was most impressed with the brisket but the pulled pork was amazing. The homemade barbecue sauce and sausage was also a treat. The staff was friendly and the sides were good. I had the Cream Corn, Mac/Cheese and the Beans.
First time here. I had the fried pork chops, which were very good. The potato salad and mac & cheese were also good. Staff were courteous and attentive.
