I usually order from here through door dash. And more times than not, the food is great! But the last three times I've ordered, there's one thing in particular they keep messing up. I ask for extra sauce on the side, and they don't put any sauce in the dish, and only give me my sauce on the side. So then, that means my sauce isn't "extra" then does it? Why is that a big deal? Because I have to pay extra for that extra sauce. So you are giving me less sauce and I'm paying more. I dunno who the cook is at the time of this review, but you are incredibly incompetent. If this was a one time thing I could forgive it, but it's getting to be a consistent thing. All in all, I think it's still worth getting food from this store because mistakes like this are pretty rare in my experience and the food still tastes great. Except of course they don't seem to know what the word EXTRA means. I'll just go there in person from now on to make sure they stop messing this up.
I have been coming to the location in Plano on Preston for years, sometimes weekly. The manager used to recognize me and remember my order. Today, I went in and was ignored for about 10 minutes. There were no other customers in the dinning area. Eventually an employee whose names I did not catch, told me that they were way too busy with online and catering orders. And if i wanted to dine in it would be over 45 minutes to fill my order. Then he walked off to the back. I left, and then watched him turn away another 4 customers coming in for lunch. Whoever you have running the show over there is killing your business.
This review is not about this particular location. It’s great!! This review is about how terribly disappointed my husband and I are that the owner of the local franchises has chosen to drop Sweet and Sour Chicken from the menu…the sauce it takes to make it is no longer available at any of the Pei Wei locations in our area. Believe me, I’ve called them all. The newer, replacement, chicken dish has a very spicy sauce we don’t care for at all. Adding new dishes to your menu is fine but not at the expense of dropping core, tried and true options. Please bring back our favorite, Sweet and Sour Chicken.
We hadn’t ordered from here in a few years because the last time the chicken in the Honey Seared Chicken was gross and weird… like hard rubber? Any way, we finally tried again today and it’s the exact same weird texture and so nasty.
This is the best Pei Wei in the area. I drive further to go to this location. Always fresh & tasty.
Friendly staff, and delicious food! They have a wide variety of gluten free options, which isn't common with this type of food, so I was super happy! The staff members were very kind as well.
Not as busy with customers as in the past for weekday lunch hours. Most customers were for take out when we came this week. I won't get the spicy korean steak, too hot for me.
This has a friendly staff, some people have worked at this location for a very long time. I remember how great Pei Wei once was, back then the line would be out the door each evening. You can tell the problems really started from the top down. Corporate bean counters stepping over dollars to save dimes. You could see it in the way the cut back on the quality of the dinnerware first. Then it was the endless remodels as Pei Wei went through an identity crisis. Seemingly wanting to be like Panda Express. Which it started out far superior too. Over the years they reformulated popular dishes to have less quality and now look at them. None of their dishes taste like the original. Look at the results of the corporate greed; which has driven this once great chain into the ground. Many locations are closed now even prior to the pandemic. The Pandemic obviously has not helped things, but Pei Wei was doomed long before the Pandemic rolled around. Let this be a lesson to other currently successful chains. Don't follow in the foot steps of Pei Wei/ PF Chang or Texas Land and Cattle for that matter.
Not sure what this is. The tofu is usually lightly breaded and fried. This is a gelatinous goop. Looks barely cooked. I threw it in the garbage and did not get a refund. Gross. Do better.
This is some of the best , most consistant Asian food restaurant that I have found!! If you haven't been to a Pei Wei yet, try anyone in the DFW area, it's good food fast!!
