Visits to this location have not been great. The place is not well maintained or cleaned, and our server (that we have had twice) did not seem too pleased to be there.We had to ask for silverware four times only to be told they were out and were given plastic forks.Tables were not cleaned properly or promptly (the one next to us had a party of three and they left shortly after we arrived — an hour later as we left it still hadn’t been wiped down).The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty.The food, once brought was sloppy and our order was incorrect.Overall not a great experience. Do not recommend this location.
Very slow to provide service. We waited for the hostess several minutes before we were sat and the place was empty.Waitress was slow in taking order, for which she apologized by providing the excuse of , "I'm sorry for taking so long but my manager was hitting on me and I didn't want to be rude and walk away and didn't know how to tell him no".That confused everyone at the table.Food here was a bit bland, definitely not the best.
What happened OTB? You used to be great and we supported you for years. Tonight we waited for 10 minutes to be seated with only 4 tables occupied. Service has clearly plummeted, maybe the food is still great but we eventually left so can’t comment.
Came here with my husband to break our fast and were so happy with the quality of our food as well as the speed! We were mostly happy with and appreciative of our server Lindsay who let us know that the Mexican rice here is made with pork (which is a Muslim’s dietary restriction). Thank you Lindsay for being so aware and kind!
Enjoyed the food here, the chips and salsa are incredible. Disappointed by the insane amount of old crusty food all over the floor and the dry beans and rice on our kiddos high chairs - and the grease and old food residue on the menu pages.Screechy and wobbly chairs, old worn tables, dirty feeling all around. On the Border desperately needs a capital investment to be competitive (this is what corporate executives overlook, believe me I’ve been there - then there is shock and awe when there are reduced customers)We will return but will keep seeking a go to Mexican restaurant
Went here on a Wednesday and had the lunch taco option with 2 beef tacos, rice and beans for $8.99. My daughter had the Wednesday special chicken fajitas with rice and beans. Because I belong to the queso "club," cheese queso was free. The server promptly took our order as we already knew what we wanted. The food arrived fairly quickly, but we had to remind the person bringing the food that we ordered queso. The food was outstanding. The server did to refill our water glasses, but she did give us to-go boxes with chips and salsa (which was unexpected). When it was time to check out, I noticed I was charged the dinner price for the tacos; the price was adjusted. My daughter didn't check the bill so she didn't notice until we were leaving the restaurant that she was charged the regular price for the fajitas. Disappointing! This place totally deserved a rating of "5" except for the overcharges.
This is my FAVORITE location to visit. Almost every time since I've moved to this area I have a server named Chance. My lady and I always sit outside on the patio when we go have our margaritas and queso. This young man is not only incredibly sweet, his customer service is impeccable. Today is my birthday and he went out of his way to make sure I had a to go brownie and ice cream for my special day. Servers like Chance are what keep these places going, of you're going here I here suggest you ask for him, you won't be disappointed!
We stopped here for a quick dinner around 4:30pm. The place was almost empty, only one other family eating when we walked in. We were seated immediately. Our server welcomed us with chips and salsa, then she took our drink and food order. My son ordered the Kids Cheese Quesadilla meal, I choose the Portobello Border Bowl, and my spouse wanted the Chicken Fajitas to-go so he could eat it later.The Border Bowl and Quesadilla meal came out fast after ordering, I mean, it was literally on the table within 7-8 minutes. My initial thought was the portion size of the Border Bowl was extremely small, but after eating it I was satisfied. My son’s Kids Quesadilla was huge, so he was very happy, he said it was one of his favorite Quesadillas. I snagged one if his fries and they were very delicious, nice and crispy.The server brought my spouse his to-go food sealed in brown bag, and shortly after she came with our check.Overall, we didn’t have any issues here. Everything tasted good, and at the right temperature. I would definitely come back here again in the future.
Such a lovely place to be, the hostess was so welcoming! Our server Tyler did an amazing job connecting with us making sure we were doing good. The food taste great!! Chuy’s gave us a bad experience so we looked for a nearby an found this location and we’re glad, we were made feel special and it was our brother’s birthday they also brought a brownie Sundae that was so sweet of them and oh ya it taste great!!Definitely coming back thank you for training your employees so well and to be on top notch.Recommended highly.
the bartender kobey gave excellent service. food was amazing, you need to try the cheesecake chimis! also was given sopas - loved them.
