we have found Mi Dia just recently. now it is the go to New Mexican restaurant that we and our kids now go to. our daughter in-law from Mexico was very particular about the places she would like to go to. I swear they come into town just to go the the Plano location.
We arrived early and so our table wasn't available and we went to the bar. There was only one open chair but the gentlemen to our right got up and give us his seat as they were about ready to leave. I know this doesn't directly support the efforts of Mi Dia but I have to say the quality of the patrons you attract certainly added to our overall pleasure of the experience.
Amazing food, unique cocktails, and great ambiance
I chose this place for my birthday dinner. I wanted to try something new and more than just Tex Mex. This place did not disappoint. Our waiter, Saul, was attentive and knowledgeable. Although he made suggestions, we had our selections made before arriving. He confirmed the duck carnitas and Mucho platter were two of the best dishes on the menu. We were happy with everything and have to come back to try the rellenos, enchiladas and other tacos as they looked scrumptious passing by our table. We were trying to decide on a dessert when Ron the manager comped a dessert of choice for my birthday. We went with the homemade Rocky Road ice cream. The food tasted upscale and the place looked nice. I was glad to know it was casual. The noise level was relatively quiet considering the crowd, but we were able to talk to each other. The prices are good and wide ranged. We chose two of the most expensive menu and drink items as it was a celebration but could have had a grand meal for a third of the price from their other selections. We wonât wait for a celebration before our next visit.
Food was delicious and Maria was a very attentive waiter!
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I think it is has more of a New Mexico influence, but they have Tex Mex dishes, too. The drink menu is really interesting, and they seem to offer meals I cannot get anywhere else. I have been to the one in Grapevine, too, and I can definitely say the Plano one is much better.
From the Margarita to the after-lunch chocolate mint at the door, everything was delightful. A delicious and diverse menu which was more Santa Fe than our Tex-Mex, with better red chilies! Wonderful attentive service, great surroundings and just an all around good experience, and not for a fortune. I will be back!
Awesome! Food and drinks are the best
Great lunch spot. I didnât get them on this day but the churros are amazing.
Great food and waitress. It was pretty noisy, but happy you are busy!
