So sorry. I am really DISAPPOINTED with this visit. Our party of 12 had some drinks and appetizers and then our server seemed to disappear for a while. Possibly too many tables to cover?? We then ordered entrees and everyone was served their meals at around the same time... unfortunately, mine NEVER showed up and everyone was almost done when our server checked in. Took it off my bill. A "well tequila" Paloma was ordered but showed up on my bill with "Top shelf" tequila pricing. I was told that that is how they make a Paloma. Wasn't advised when I ordered it. Took it off my bill. Other than that, the others in my party said that their meals were good. I did enjoy the queso and guacamole and chips that I did get to nibble on.
Good service but I only have drinks & 2 dishes here. The queso & barbacoa tacos are the only dishes I like. This place is good for drinks, the margaritas are very good & a large size. I WouIdnt come here for the food but rather focus on the drinks.
I needed a little company, so I headed to Mexican Bar. Based on GPS, understand this is not a stand alone restaurant, it’s surrounded the mall {Willow Bend.}Smooth parking in the garage, then a quick minute walk to the restaurant.No need for reservations, if sitting at the bar.Pretty nice decor and staff seems ready to help with any needs.I asked for vegetarian recommendations, but guess what!?? They have a whole menu worth of good descriptions.I tried a few drinks, but the one with ? was sooooooo good. I burnt the straw just a little, it’s habit to stick your straw in your drink immediately.I ordered the “pollo” tacos with the crispy Brussels sprouts/squash and these were so freaking good. Like YAASSSSS!Love the chips and salsa. Couldn’t have the chicharrones, but they were calling my name. I obeyed my gut. Like the D.A.R.E. Program, just say, “NO!!”Cool vibes. Lots happening on every day of the week it seems.The website has the full schedule. Looking forward to salsa ?? night!!! Oh the Bodega Brunch too, I heard it is str8 ??? Only the weekends from 10:30 am-3pm. So be certain to reserve over the phone or website/resys app.This is a vibe. Excited to see what the weekend is looking like, because after mezcal, it’s clear that you might time travel into Mexico.Gotta love when the staff is so nice and can confirm the menu choices. When we visited Plano, Texas, we heard, "Oh, Texas doesn't have good Mexican food." But in fact, they do! This cute restaurant and bar is located in a mall. But their food and drinks are so well done; I had to share! Not only did this place have exceptional service from our waitress and their staff, but their food was on point. The waitress recommended a Lobster heuvos from their brunch menu And they're very very delicious chicken chicken enchiladas with homemade Verde sauce. Edit when she asked for drinks we said we'll obviously margaritas it does and brought us some of the best margaritas we've had in a very long time period not only was their service fast and prompt but it came with amazing Food and smiles as well.By far when we got this Mexican food it was the best Mexican food me and my friend have had in the last 8 years. So we would highly recommend this place and how beautifully it was designed. It was an awesome open space, fully mexican designed place for us to unwind before we pushed off to our flight at the airport to get back to California.

First visit and it was outstanding. My waitress Gladys was top-notch. Great staff, great drinks, great tacos, will definitely be going again.
This rating is based on the food only!! The restaurant is cute and our server was phenomenal! She was so attentive considering how busy it was. She was so personable and fun. Her name was Veronica and I would definitely ask for her again. We ordered Elote, as an appetizer and it was ok at best. It has an odd aftertaste. My friend ordered the filet tacos, it was bland and had bland potatoes in it which didn’t mesh. The meat was cold and tasteless. I ordered the “Governador” which was the shrimp tacos. The Shrimp was so small and had a dollap of guacamole on it and nothing else. We were laughing at how tiny the shrimp were. It was flavorless & forgettable. My rice was so undercooked, cold, crunchy with zero flavor. I barely touched it. I had 2 bites of the refried beans and it was probably the most tasteless beans I’ve had. It was just runny mush. The only good thing was our drinks and our service. They had a live DJ which gave the place a great atmosphere. I’d definitely come back just for drinks. We still had a great time considering the bad food. It shows how great service makes a world of difference.*Just a note & warning: I was so sick ( I will spare the details) to my stomach last night, had stomach cramps all night and all day today. I knew it was someone I ate. My friend contacted me today that she was so sick, went to the Dr and she had really bad food poisoning. We definitely won’t eat here again.
My missing stars are solely on the food. I was actually excited to go based off how the restaurant looked from the outside. I got to sit on the outside/inside. The hostess and waitress were extremely sweet and did everything they needed to do. The drinks were also really really good. Unfortunately I didn't think the food tasted very good. I always like to try enchiladas when I go to a new tex mex place and they were just bland. I didn't finish them and the taste of the chicken was just off. My bf had carnitas tacos and he seemed to like them. We both didn't finish the rice and beans either though. The presentation was nice but just not my favorite. I'd come back for drinks though.
