It had been several years since I visited Malgudi Garden, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much the place has improved.I would give five stars for the food, no questions asked. Authentic South-Indian taste; so many options from the buffet menu, so many that one can't possibly try them all; hot dosas off the plate (although the waits can be annoying), an impressive chat corner, and good selection of desserts.We went on a Saturday - and the place was packed. The wait staff was overwhelmed with 20-30 people waiting outside eager to get in to a crowded restaurant where people were waiting in line just to provide their names. It took us over 15 minutes just to pay the bill. A fire marshal would probably have ordered the place shut down. Seating was inadequate for those who were waiting outside. The patio area could be optimized for seating more guests.I understand that these problems are driven by the excellent food as customers are flocking to the place. But the average family does not want to wait 30 minutes just to get a table. We saw a few families leave, frustrated. Manage this aspect well, and I would give it 5 stars.

We were bit confused to go for buffet ( most of the times almost all type of buffets won’t be good). For the amount you are paying $14.99 ( weekend ), you will have plenty of choices, live dosa ( with fermented rice n lentil)n appam ( type of pancake made with fermented rice and coconut milk)counter, different varieties of curries. One of the best place for buffet( Indian Vegetarian). Overall we enjoyed the food n service, ????
Fantastic food. Visiting from Los Angeles. Wish we had a place like this there. Especially the buffet is amazing. All the items are high quality products. Super satisfied with the taste. The service is also great. Every person who works there is courteous friendly very eager to please you. Of all the things visited in Dallas, we’ll surely miss this place Super big variety of foods in buffet, not to mention live dosa and Aappam bar that’s made right in front of you. And pav Bhaji , samosa chaat, pani puri and salad bar as well including chutneys and raita and fruit salad. Yum, yum, yum……….all around!!!! Fabulous!!!!! Don’t miss it if you’re in Dallas area. Stayed here 3 days and all three dinners were here. Giving 5 out of 5 stars. !!!!!!!
Nice Restaurant buffet with lot of items fully vegetarian with different types of Appam and variety of Dosai's you have salad and sweets also and the taste also was very good.
Website states $10.99 but actual price is $13.99. Staff won't tell you even when you ask. Go figure it out from the bill.Food was below average. Sprouts were fresh. Idly was wonderful. Dosaman does his job okay.Be prepared to wait longer to pay the bill than to eat.This MUST be your last option to dine out and remember you will want to go here only once.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Worst possible food. Sambar had foul smell. Biriyani had no taste, no spice, only oil and fried onions. Cutlet also had a bad smell like it was done a couple of days ago. Overall, horrible and very dissappointed. Will never order again from here.
One of the best restaurants I have been to. The staff is so amazing: co-operative, polite and accommodating. Especially the manager: Vatan, is such a delightful person.We had a dinner buffet over weekend. All the food was delicious. The buffet is worth the price.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Looking forward to dine in again soon.
Love the weekend buffets, all veg and some vegan options too. Plenty of desserts too.Good taste and great service.
