Food will blow your taste buds away!
One of the worst experience. Food quality was really make all of us upset. Paya, Nihari, Dahi Phulki all you name it all of them are not good. Sorry to say but never ever want to visit here. Shrimps very hard and over soggi, kabab taste not good.Only thing we like are Gajar Halwa and Fruit Chart. If u want to pay for these item than its ok.Long line when it was my turn all of them mostly empty dishes and i have to wait long.0 Star.
Hands down the best Indopak restaurant in the Plano area. The food was very tasty, large portions so you can take home and enjoy and the service was topnotch.
I’m very disappointed with my experience here especially after having received so many recommendations to go have dinner here. My family and I went here to try out various items that we planned to have catered for our wedding. To start off, the dishes were fairly lackluster - either undercooked, heavy on the oil (even for a desi family), or complete lack of taste. The service as a whole is pretty terrible and the staffers really need some severe training as they risk of having something dropped on you or getting burned is fairly high. No one came to ask our table for drinks, for refills, to clear out plates. We were about to spend nearly $15,000 on catering and were looked after as if we were at McDonalds. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
Excellent food , great service, but would recommend more active engagement from the owners. I arrived at the restaurant late afternoon . There were guests at only two tables and and no one at the front desk. I kept waiting for someone to come and seat me. After more than a 5 minute wait, the waitstaff appeared from the kitchen to seat me. She was very sweet (she was from Nepal and had a name that starts with an S, perhaps Simran?) and was obviously busy. I asked her about the name of the restaurant and she explained that Colachi was the old name of Karachi. She helped me with the food selections. Then a person from one of the table came up to me and said he was the owner and explained to me in more detail the provenance of the name. I appreciated that, but would have appreciated it more if he had gotten up from chatting with his friends and seated me sooner. After some time the food arrived and here is my review of them-Chicken Malai Boti - 5/5 Very juicy and flavored with mild spices. Perfect for the summer. Instead of small cubes that tend to dry out, they use strips of chicken for this kebab. Presentation was perfect.Shinwari Karahi Mutton - 5/5 Excellent dish. Pink mutton, but perfectly soft and flavorful. Very large portion size served in a real non-stick karahi. The plastic ladle may not be the most sophisticated choice, but did not detract from the quality of the dish. They recommended that if you prefer more gravy, get the Peshawari Karahi.Butten Naan - 5/5 Very soft and generous portion sizePaneer Hunzai Handi - 5/5 I got this to go and was surprised how good this was. Very, very good. it is difficult to impress a non-veg eater with a veg item, and yet this could very much be the star amongst everything I ordered. I could not stop eating this.Rabri - 5/5 The rabri was very good. I would preferred a little less sugar, but that is a personal choiceOverall, the food is excellent and the ambience pleasing. The waitstaff is efficient and caring. The prices might appear high at first, but the quality of food and the inordinately large portion sizes duly justify them. Recommended!
Called in to place order, and this time particularly requested the guy to avoid extra oil. Even then the food came full of oil. When inquired, Manager’s justification was “if we don’t put oil you will end of seeing few pieces of tomatoes and meat”. Manager’s response was more displeasing then the food. Please serve better food or at least well mannered employees
Our Order :We started with drinks ???limo pani 3/5 (Fresh lime, lemon, and mint)Full of lime pieces and less pani ? it was just okay-ish? Shaky Shake -Mango 5/5Creamy mango shake?Shikanjabeen Lychee 5/5(they have Mango & Chilli flavors too)?AppetizerSamosa Bites (4Pcs)5/5 for chutney?3/5 samosaThe chutney they served had more flavor to it than the samosas? However samosas were mildly spicy but fresh and crispyso yeah that spicy +tangy chutney with samosas made a bomb couple ?(They had beef and veggie samosa option aswell)♨️Main course1-Colachi White Karahi Chicken2-Chicken Makhni handi3-Chicken Malai boti?Colachi White Karahi Chicken 5/5??Prayers were heard ?and we had the BEST white karahiiii ever !I loved it , full of taste -White thick gravy with white and black pepper -good balance of spices ,good portion size (served 4 of us) and lots of chicken in it ! Alhamdulilahh!?One word - ?DELICIOUS?? Chicken Makhani Handi 2/5So basically it’s butter chicken and tasted just like any other restaurant maybe just a bit more creamybut nothing exciting about this handi so yeah not a new dish to try (not for me atleast ??♀️) Chicken Malai Boti 5/5It literally melts in your mouth , soft, very well marinated and not spicy at all but very delicious !Only negative about malai boti was the portion size ,if something tastes so good than you wish to have few more botis on the plate ??Portion size was very small ? maybe they should serve a bit more for the price charged ? Butter naan 5/5Fresh ➖warm ➖soft !Overall it was a pleasant experience and surprisingly their restrooms were clean too (yay )
First time there. The food LOOKED GREAT but did not taste great. Lacked salt and the briyani could have used a bit more flavor.
Definitely recommend this place. Will give 10/10 for customer service and food taste.Authentic Desi Food... Must Try if you are in the area..We ordered 5 different Karahi's, all were very delicious and we also ordered Malai Boti and Afghani Kabab (Very good).Their Mango Lassi is also very good...
