Service was great. Big restaurant. Atmosphere is pretty "Texas". I enjoyed the fried green bean appetizer with smokey ranch and the wild boar quesadilla appetizer. Those were spot on and tasted great. Worth stopping by just to try those probably. I personally was not as impressed with my chicken fried steak entree however. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't anything special.
Service and environment were great!We ordered the "Waltz Across Texas" for the table and I had the Smoked Brisket.Everything was wonderful except for the Mac and Cheese, but I am willing to let that slide.There was live music outside, which is always a nice touch.
Loved this place. ❤️❤️ My husband and I are not from the area and we were HUNGRY! We usually look for new places and not expensive. I picked it cause the chicken fried steak looked good. Oh fyi my plate looked like the pic. It was super good. Our waitress was good and attentive. Very groovy atmosphere. This place did the almost impossible....half way through his meal, my husband said he was FULL!! He had a very good Huge!! hamburger. I'm sorry we didn't have dessert but we couldn't anymore. But hopefully next time we are the area we will. Thank you all for the hard work and an enjoyable dinner. Although it was creepy cause parking lot lights were not working properly.
Texas restaurant... First thing I thought about when I walked in. Fun restaurant with very friendly staff. Chicken fried steak was only pretty good and it wasn't the best prime rib my wife's ever had but everything else was very good. The gravy and breading on the chicken fried steak was tastey but the steak was thin and small. My wife's prime rib was a bit chewy as it seems like it wasn't roasted long enough or something.. sides were great and the environment was fun.
I went there for lunch with my mom. Quiet, cozy, rustic atmosphere. Loved the stained glass windows, which gave it the feel of an English pub. Expected a wild boar steak, but got shredded boar instead. The meal was average, but the onion cream spinach was so good, I could eat an entire plate of it! The owner and waitress were also very friendly and helpful, and she had a thorough knowledge of the menu.
What a delicious experience our dinner stop was. The wait staff were meticulous in ensuring we were well taken care of and the food was delightfully delicious. The only reason our tab exceeded $100.00 was because we had to have desert to finish off the our dinner and the wait staff was deserving of a healthy Thankyou. High End Experience with a reasonable Low End Price!
The staff here goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The host chatted us up while we waited and even gave us a heads up on a few menu items, the server made great suggestions, and the manager made rounds asking if we were enjoying our meal and thanked us for coming. The food was great and the Shiner on tap was delicious. We'll be back!
We were seated immediately but waited over 30 mins for appetizers and another 20 for our food. It was a quiet night so I'm not sure why we waited so long for everything. The kitchen got my order wrong but the food was okay.
Place has gone downhill. It used to be good, but the prime rib was tasteless, and the ribs were dry and tasted like yesterday's leftovers. But the beer was really cold.
Great food. Great service. Great value. What more can you say??? Just go and try them out!
