Really good sides, I got potato salad and deviled eggs. The sauce was great, peach cobbler was amazing. Might be my fault in choice of meat but the beef rib wasn’t that good for $45 a rib. I would like to return and try the brisket and sausage, but the rub on the beef rib was very salty and some parts were in edible because of the saltyness. I did try several parts of the outside crust but 65-70% of it was way to salty. I do understand that it’s a big piece of meat but the outside should be edible. If your here definitely get the spicy pickles also amazing
It was okay, nothing special, but not bad. Although they had "spicy Mac and cheese" listed as a special. We ordered some and ended up with regular Mac and cheese, which has a bad taste and rubbery texture. Meat has good flavor. They only serve Pepsi products, so drinks from the bar are not great. Who orders a Jack and Pepsi, or a rum and Pepsi? We had the whole upstairs dining area to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon which was nice.
I would probably give it 3.5 stars if that were possible. The sliced Brisket was 5 star, but everything else was 3 star. The jalapeno sausage was good but not great, the Pork ribs were under done, and not very flavorful. The 3 sides we got sounded amazing, but the flavor was just not there. Overall very expensive BBQ meal that somewhat missed the mark. I went to this same Lockhart restaurant about 3-4 years ago and it was much better than this time.
Some of the best BBQ I've had in all of Texas. There just isn't much more to say than that. The brisket was a nice moist cut with a good smoke flavor. Jalapeno sausage was balanced with a kick. The special from the day, pork belly burnt ends, blew my mind.Would love to be able to eat here again.
Great brisket, solid bbq sauce, nice delightful take on blue cheese slaw and spicy Mac got a good kick

This Lockhart has been a go-to for years for me. I always get the brisket, mac n cheese, and a shiner. They always have great staff (never encountered anyone rude since 2017).The vibe is one unique reason I love going there. It feels very friendly and down to earth. The food is all done well, no extra fuss or frills, just simply good.
This is the staple of my favorite bbq place that I've been to, as soon as you walk in you get the idea of what you're walking into, although you probably smelled them first. They have their menu on the wall and bar to your right with live music as well. Their meat is smoked in house and cut right in front of you, with great sides and a nice cozy place, it's the perfect place to grab some food, a drink and hangout for a bit.
WOW, We have waited a while to be able to come that way to eat and have a bloody Mary. They did not disappoint! Highly recommended
