Very bad experience at Kumars, the food was gross. Don't know happened to them. Was there a few months back for lunch and had a great experience. But today it was just the opposite. Everything from food to customer service sucks. Especially all the non veg items which came with the thaali meals were really substandard. Sorry to see that the quality of food and service has gone down drastically in a few months.
The food is authentic home cooked food. I prefer limited weekend meals. I saw significant amount of wastage, which is not good . Service is great, especially given no one wants to wait tables these days. value for your money. Please visit and encourage your Indian community
I used to love going to Kumar's pre pandemic days with family as well as friends.I recently visited Kumar's for a lunch dine in after a long time. I think food doesn't taste as great as it used to be. Not sure what changed..I ordered non veg thali and it was decent affair. Maybe cos my expectations were pre-pandemic high. Staff was very helpful. They were offering second helpings. I will go one more time, to check if it was a one off day.
We came from 25 miles away. Had veg and non veg thali. They tell you upfront that the thali is not unlimited. Which was fine by us as we still think it’s good value for money with the variety. Customer service is very good. Food is tasty. They forgot to give us jigirthanda but it could be because they are short staffed due to COVID. Will definitely come back again.
Their thalappakatti mutton biriyani used to be very good.Ordered one for takeout recently and it tasted so bland with mostly only bones (I have a picture attached of all the pieces ie all BONES). So overpriced too ($16) The pepper chicken ($13) was also not good, again super overpriced for the very less quantity. Totally disappointed.
They stopped the unlimited buffet (weekend special) which we are not informed off during the order. Ordered non-veg meals and just got what is in the picture .$18 for that . All I had is mutton and chicken bones in that no meat at all!!?never going back ever
Planning to experience the Real Mess feeling this is right place . Unlimited non veg thali nice people. It’s South India , Tamil Nadu style food. Food was good not great . It’s a good place to go.
Food is sooo tasty. Mild spicy which is Perfect spice level. Staff is very courteous. Overall its 5/5.
Had meals veg and non veg. (Weekend special ) Taste is good. Staff is very very helpful and serves efficiently. It is crowded so recommend to have advance booking. Staff even though was crowded was able to serve us.Few points :-Few items in thali had to be asked. Usually meals have predefined order to serve. Didn’t see that. For e.g fried chilli they missed serving , we had to ask the curry to eat kothu paratha, sambhar was to be asked. If they serve everything in order it will help.In case they improve that I feel it would be smooth experience. They can also keep photos on table of meals or items so that folks know if something is missing or forgotten.Price difference veg and non veg is very less. 2$ difference and non veg folks had all the same items as veg + chicken, mutton, fish, chicken fry. Can they reduce veg thali price?Again staff is awesome. Kudos to them.
Excellent food and wonderful ambience ! Truly authentic. We recently had our graduation party at Kumar's. They went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. Some of the items that we had requested for the party weren't on their regular menu, yet it was made to perfection and delicious! They had blocked out an entire section just for us, setup a buffet counter, let us play our own music and even setup a dance floor !
