My boyfriend suggested this place because I was craving sushi for date night. It is a small restaurant, a little crowded; definitely knew it would be worth it just with that. We started with drinks and miso soups. Got a spicy tuna roll and one of their specialty rolls that we saw another table order. It was all delicious and we were stuffed by the end of the meal!
The sashimi was delicious- very fresh and a good size cut.The baked dynamite roll was disappointing. California roll on the bottom wasn’t warm, it was cold. Tasted really odd at first and was like.. it’s missing something. Where’s the spicy mayo on the side?
Seated and wasn’t offered water. Sushi came out to soft , fell apart. Asked for spicy edemame, was given dry unsalted, with cayenne pepper. I will Not be returning !
Been here a couple times now absolutely love it, portions are huge for a sushi joint. They have good soup such as miso. Will be back.My favorite part is their seafood towers. Sushi burrito also a must grab for the table.Drink options are poor but I just stick with water anyways.Service was good. Prices are fair. Lots of options. Clean environment.
Been coming to Desentsu for years now and still have the same experience everytime! Great sushi and service everytime!
Excellent quality and delicious food! Cannot wait to come back again. Their lunch specials are so affordable for all that you get. I got the sushi combo that comes with what you see in the picture plus a soup and salad.
This is a great place with interesting and different sushi options. The sushi burrito was amazing. Some of the other rolls that we got were good, with some being better than others, of course. The only this I wasn't overly impressed with was the service. It seemed chaotic. Never knew who was helping us because I think 4 different servers came by the table. They also forgot part of my order, which I had to ask for even though we turned in a sheet with the sushi we ordered. May have just been a case where they didn't look at both sides.
Used to be my favorite sushi spot I would always recommend until I found a hair cooked into my roll. I ordered to go and called the restaurant to tell them what happened. No answer but I left a voicemail and never got a call back. Had to throw the whole roll away and couldn’t stomach the rest of the food we ordered. Just wanted the roll taken off my bill but they never cared to call back. Very sad.
The girl that took my take out order was extremely rude. We ordered 4 rolls. But they gave us 3 rolls and only the topping to our 4th roll. When we called to complain, the same girl that took our order answered. We asked for the manager but she refused to allow us to talk to the manager and refused to fix the situation. We were loyal customers who ordered here at least 3-4 times a month. We definitely will never order here again. There are so many great sushi restaurants that we can order from. Densetsu is terrible.
This has been the best sushi I've ever had. The rolls are huge and stuffed with fillings, and they even have some nice lunch bento boxes if sushi isn't your thing. If you're looking for recommendations, I would go with the baked salmon roll (with a side of eel sauce), the eel roll, or Jay's favorite. Honestly, though, you can't go wrong with anything here.
