This place is ok. The biggest problem is I feel I like they are using too much MSG in the dishes. You will drink lots of water and feel sleepy afterwards... The price is not too high or either too low. We order the combos for two, which is $38.99. The fish they are using is Tilapia fish. I thought they will use a better kind of fish since the combo price is not cheap. But still. The taste of the fish is ok. The beef has weird tastes. I don't know what's the outer of the beef, similar to starch? We don't like the taste of the beef at all.The best dish is the fried milk custard! That's the best!The restaurant is super tiny and only have around 7 tables. The service is ok too. They offer 5 stars review for a dessert. We obviously didn't do that. Overall, the tastes is ok and the food quality is ok... too...
I came here several times already, it’s actually better every time. In my honest opinion, when I first came, it was only so so. But now it taste very good, and the beef is very tender and juicy. Definitely will come back!没有最好 只有更好!
I was not excited about spicy and sour fish when I look at the menu but it taste really good. Both appetizers I got are really delicious too. Food and service are fast.
We came on a good day because there was no wait! Every time I pass by here, there’s a few people waiting outside. FYI, I believe there’s a Yelp waitlist you can join.There is so much flavor in the soup you would not even believe it! We got the classic spicy sour soup with both the tilapia and wagyu. Man, it’s goooood. If you’re not a fan of sezchuan flavor, this might not be the place for you. If you like food with bursts of flavor.. oh man def try this out!Chicken wings (5/5) the wings alone were good and then we dipped it into the house made seasoning and it was BOMBFried donut (5/5) super freshhhh! Dip it into the soup and *chefs kiss*Cucumber salad (4/5) different than your normal cucumber salad. It’s so refreshing
I first tried this restuaurant many years ago in Seattle and I was hoping that the restaurant will open in Dallas too. I am so happy that the wishes come true and we can now enjoy the same declicious fish soup without having to fly to Seattle. The service is great too. Except for the grand opening months, the waiting time is minimum even without reservation. The restaurant is still full most of the time. I highly recommend especially if you have not tried it yet.
I was nervous because it sounded like nothing I've tried before (and I've tried a lot of food) but I am so glad I ventured out! The cold fern noodles were so refreshing. The soup? Soo flavorful. We got a 2-person combo. Will come back!
They get a really good deal in the dessert! The milk tea jelly is pretty good and I liked it! The fish is overall pretty good and I liked the Chinese donut most! The waiter is really nice to accept us right before it’s closing!
While sauerkraut fish soup did not sound that appealing to me first, I'd really recommend you give it a try! The tilapia tastes very good in the classic spicy sour broth, but the real star was the picked vegetables. We also had the beef, beancurd, enoki, and spam in the soup with a side of lotus root, Chinese bread, and Chinese donut. All very filling and while we got the combo for 3 there was plenty for the four of us. Maybe the only area for improvement was that they used paper bowls and red solo cups, but perhaps this was due to a shortage of some kind, but I don't think it should lose a star for that right now.
Very special soup boiling with super fresh fish, the taste is fantastic. We ordered dessert Fried Milk, attracted by the special name, fried crispy wrapped tender milk custard, super refreshing flavor . Love the place, will definitely come back.
Delectable dishes. Everything was amazing. The soup was packed with flavor, and the tender fish and beef match with its savory and tangy flavor perfectly. Their sticky rice sticks were deliciously chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The sweet rice lotus felt perfect as a desert to end the meal. Amazingly restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
