The lack of any sign on the front of the store at all regarding their days and hours of operation only complicates the fact that Trip Advisor shows an hour later closing time than they actually close. I was recently told by an employee that they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday (the nearest 85C in Richardson is closed also on [email protected]), so way too often I wind up driving to the Frisco location for the wonderful 85C products.
Used to love their cakes. Recently got the mango cake and it was so dry that we left 97% of the cake. Did call the store and offered to bring a slice for them to see what’s wrong, but their response was like ‘ oh, it has been 2 days and no one else complained’ even though the cake is still in the original box in the refrigerator. Maybe cutting the cake in front of them and showing it is dry might help.
The quality is on-par comparing to other 85 C. Indoor seating still limited;
Giving an extra star for the delicious cakes, I have no complaints about them. However the employees have the worst attitudes ever. The boba tea here also gave me “stomach issues” if you know what I mean. I got the oolang milk tea and it was good but I kept gagging wanting to throw up as if my body was rejecting something. My bathroom definitely hated me today as well. I’m assuming it was the boba because it was hard as rocks. Then I got to the bottom of the drink and saw a big ball of boba that wouldn’t come apart with the straw either and I saw why. Very disappointed..
I liked the pastries and drinks. I felt they could keep the place a lot more cleaner. On the way to the rest room a whole lot of coffee like drink on the floor and also tables are lacking cleaning. I hope the owners make the needed sanitary cleaning mandatory. What good it is if the place looks like a dump.
Great service, pastries/baked goods, and drinks! Always love coming here.They actually have a couple of milk free items, which is great for my boyfriend who is allergic to milk.
The place was nice and quiet and the selection was great. It was really nice sitting down and enjoying a drink with some fresh baked treats.There was a worker, who I think was a manager, that was constantly filling and checking on the food.The drink was also very tasty as well and quickly prepared.I would definitely come back!
Surprisingly cute little bakery shop! Stopped in for our first visit today just because it looked interesting. The inside is so clean, sleek, and modern! I loved the atmosphere and the desserts are incredible! Such beautiful and delicate looking desserts. They also have teas and coffee as well as fruit drinks! I should have taken more photos but we were so distracted by the treats! Never had a "chocolate bun" before but they were AMAZING! I'll be telling people about this place for sure!
I bought a Tiramisu whole cake on 12/31/2021 from plano 85 bakery but when opened the box at home it came without sides decorations. I bought the same cake many times before and never had an issue.I came to Plano bakery on 01/07/2022 to talk about the issue and they just justified that had supplies shortage and cakes of Christmas and End Year were all unfinished and manager cannot do anything.I was very disappointed because I paid full price of the cake but manager was not interested in resolve the issue.It is not fair that the bakery is aware that cannot finish the cake but sell it at full price and doesn’t have interest in giving a discount or voucher. Bakery didn’t announce the shortage in the site informing that cake will be unfinished.No apologies, no nothing, was a short conversation that ended with manager saying that there is nothing that bakery can do.I’m living 2 pictures, one from Carrolton that was perfect on 12/28 (so, may assume that shortage was only at Plano) and the other from Plano bought on 12/31/2021 (bought for Year End celebration, that disappointed my family and started 2022 disappointed with 85C bakery).
