I ordered online and went there to pickup my order. I waited for my order and when I got it, it was cold and the deep fried egg rolls and wontons were not worth eating. The take out is terrible, save your money and eat off of their Buffett. The food is hot and tastes better.

Good things 1st: the wait staff is awesome; Jackie and Bea are super! The price is fair for a sushi buffet. For a packed-out restaurant it was mostly clean. Now for the Not-So-Good: This place is weirdly popular, so it's totally packed. Just be prepared to have to stand in line and wait to even get in the building. The patrons are slobby, rude and loud so this is NOT a good date venue. The staff could not keep up with the ridiculous messes the patrons kept making everywhere, don't even look at the condiment bar. The manager was on top of things, but they need staff who only just walk behind patrons cleaning up after them.Lastly, I'm sorry but the sushi isn't that great and neither is the hot food. Yeah, I realize it's a buffet but... You'd be better off buying your sushi from the counter at HEB - seriously, the have coupons (especially on Wednesday) Or just go to a real sushi restaurant.I was excited and wanted to give it a fair shot. Maybe one of the other locations will prove to be better than the one in Pharr.

The buffet is 1/2 size compared to the one by trenton rd, and nowhere near as good, even the location in tampico is better, food looks like it has been seating in the kitchen for a few hours before taking it out. Sushi takes a while to get served. There didn't have chipotle sauce and the staff behind the counter refused to refill the tray.

My experience was drive thru only so will only comment on that. The staff came out and took my order. Five minutes later my food was brought out. I got a combo and my only complaint is the small serving size of the entree. Other than that the food is good and fast service. Will be back again.

Food was delicious!!! Thank you for the great customer service???? May God bless you all!!!

I have been to this location a few times, and there was a few things that weren't right. I noticed that they have very few tongs for multiple sushi options, some of which are the ones that have raw fish; so there's definitely cross contamination going on there. Another thing I didn't like it's the sauce bar I guess you can call it? soy sauce is exposed to the elements, saw some people pouring themselves soy sauce and it dripping off their fingers into the main soy sauce bowl. The food is ok, but temperature is on the cold side. the last straw was a time I went and there was a huge cockroach walking by where the sushi was, I brought it to the attention of the server nearby who immediately swept it with a cleaning cloth. I requested to speak to the manager and requested a refund, which took like 4 days to go back to my card, grabbed my family and walked out never to come again.

50 minute wait in the drive through for a buffet that should have the items readily available. Food is good and cheap but never using the drive thru ever again. Waste of time.

Terrible. cold food and old sushi. For a Friday night at peak (7pm) I would expect hot food but nope. Service was ok. But would never be back. We usually go to the Edinburg one and I definitely recommend it over this one!

Kauri is on fire!!! Even before getting in, you can smell the broccoli, chicken, and the noodles, just what you need to build up the appetite before you get in. Once you’re in there, greeted by the staff, the receptionist takes care of you right away, then taken to a table where they ask you what your beverage of choice is and then, you’re off to get your plate and on the Buffay line. My taste buds were in heaven waiting to pick up my first piece of sushi. From the pics and videos I posted, you can call it sushi heaven. A little bit of everything for different pallets. I have to admit, I serve myself a couple of pieces of sushi from all the selections. I had to get a second plate because just beyond where all the sushi was, that’s where you had your eggrolls, your fried chicken, your soups, your noodles, your fried rice, your teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, and your salads. The teriyaki chicken was super savory, soft to the tongue, and went down the throat like butter. The egg rolls and fried chicken were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The beef and broccoli was super fulfilling, not too saucy and the broccoli, steamed to perfection. You definitely got to go and check this place out, don’t rush your time there, eat as much of whatever you want for as long as you want, and make it a great experience as I did.
