The catfish was very tasty, along with the French fries and the Cole slaw. We got there about 30 minutes before closing. We saw about 8 other customers. We ordered the catfish basket with three fillets, fries and hush puppies. We waited for almost 30 minutes before we got our food. Once we got it service was good. It is a big place and they told us about their daily buffet. We are too far living in Leander to try it out, but it may be a good choice when in the area.
We waited over an hour to get served. Other people were seated 15 minutes after us and got served before us and left before we were served. We asked the waitress 3-4 times why we weren’t being served and she said that they were very busy in the kitchen. However, there were several vacant tables in the dining room and when we got there we were seated within 5 -10 minutes. We asked if they lost our order and the waitress said no. We should have left without eating but it was Father’s Day and we thought that other restaurants would be packed. I stress that only one couple was in line when we got there. We will never go to Springhill Restaurant again!!
Super nice. Rustic country motiff But the fried platter was eccellence. Allows substitution of fries and pinto beans for an appitizer choice or salad. Feied oysters were huge. Big shrimp too. Catfish was very - both nice fried and blackened. Fried corn was sweet and nice. Appetizer sampller was good - hush puppies, mushroom, and okra. Very hood. Servers were friendly but it took awhile to get food, each time.
Love this place. Most of the time, it's a pretty quiet place. I've went here awhile and we always get the same thing. Regular catfish plate and peach cobbler. There is a server that's been here awhile, never caught her name. But she's incredibly thoughtful and hard working. She asked if we wanted our cobbler later and brought plates to split our food. I love how the place is decorated, it's kind random, but fun. 100% reccomend for just a very chill and yummy dinner with family
The experience and food is hit or miss. Been going to Spring Hill for awhile. I went in mid-December, the fish was not cooked through. The outside was done but the fish was gooey on the inside. We sent it back and all they did was put the pieces back in the frier which only made the outside way overdone and the fish still not cooked. Last night, our appetizer came out in a timely manner but then we waited 40 - 45 minutes for our entree. The waitress came over about 30 minutes into our wait and was ready to give us our check, asking if we needed any to go boxes or if we wanted our drinks topped off. There was nothing on the table to put in a to go box. I told her we were still waiting for our food, I guess she then realized she didn't put our order in. Food was out 10 - 15 minutes later. We requested a refill on our drinks and the waitress took 10 minutes to fulfill that request and it wasn't until she saw one of us getting up from the table with our cups in hand to walk up to someone to get something to drink. I ordered a dozen shrimp for the table, someone can't count because we only received 11 shrimp. When I you'd the waitress we only received 11 shrimp, her response was Oh no! Never once offered to do anything for our poor experience, she only said she was sorry about the wait time on the food. Tables just sat without being cleared after customers left. The place was not packed, so no reason for the poor service. Don't know if I will go back.
Customer Service could have ben better. I asked for water, no ice welp who cares. Shrimp got fish, i mean it all is considerable being that I was a paying customer. A cup, gave me the bowl. Yea! Thanks anyway.
Their fried mushrooms are the best I've ever had. The catfish and sides are ok. They definitely give you a lot of food!
I didn't expect much out of this restaurant since it is very easy to overlook while driving down Pecan, I decided to come here today for lunch, I had the 2 pc shrimp and catfish meal and really enjoyed it, the service was great as well, definitely coming back here again and totally recommended for those who loves old school dining.
The best time to ho is during the lunch buffet . My favorite are the fried gizzards, green beans, mac n cheese, and the salad bar. Yummy
