We got take out here on Saturday and I didn't love it. I ordered their chimichanga and it tasted like it was just American cheese and so much chicken that when I bit into it I could hardly chew, it was so much dry chicken in one mouthful. It was not my favorite Tex Mex experience.Update: we went back last night and dined in. We both ordered our own el grande combination dinner. It comes with a beef taco, cheese enchilada, and fajitas with two tortillas. The fajita portion was unique, I’ve never seen that be part of a combination plate. I got grilled chicken and it tasted pretty good. They also give you queso and guacamole. I liked the enchilada as well. The hard-shell taco was soft on the side touching the plate, so I couldn’t pick it up to eat it and it didn’t taste the best. The service wasn’t the best either. We probably won’t be returning.
I went in for a late lunch, the service was good, but the food is just awful. I ordered a spinach queso as a starter, and a Carne asada burrito for my main meal. The burrito came out in 3 to 4 minutes, before the queso, it made me skeptical, because you can't cook Carne asada that fast. I cut open the burrito, and the meat was grey and falling apart, it resembled Carne guisad without the flavor. The server came out and switched it out for a ground beef burrito. The spinach queso was watery and did not have any spinach flavor. The new burrito came out and the queso on top was so thin, it just ran off the burrito, I just ate the meat and the refried beans, the tortilla was gummy. The tortilla chips were stale, at least the salsa was good. The floor manager came over to check on me and I let her know my problems with the food, and she acknowledged my concerns, but didn't seem bothered by it, which told me all I needed to know. To recap, the iced tea, the salsa, and service were the only redeeming things about going there.
It was just ok. Probably won't order again though. I placed an order online and received a text saying my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived I was informed that they were still preparing my order. I spent 24 min sitting in my car watching others carry away their food. In total it was 42 min to receive my food. When I got home, it was cold. My cheese enchiladas were literally covered in a hard, congealed queso that had been poured across the top. I had to microwave it just to make it edible. It was one notch above a frozen dinner.
The hostess provided a great welcoming, friendly and inviting, the wait staff were not the friendliest, but our order did arrive at a good time, with all items ordered brought at the same time. Music was a little loud in our seated area, which was not near the bar. As far as food quality, the queso (nacho cheese) tasted like it came out of the can. However, the taco salad and stuffed avocado entrée were surprisingly delightful. Both were filled with flavor, generous portions. The cheese in the stuffed avocado was gooey and complimented the meat option well. The horchata beverage was also great, not watered down like many other Tex-Mex restaurants. All in all, I would visit again, and maybe next time, order an adult beverage as well!
Found this hidden gem taking a wrong turn. I was looking for breakfast for the family so boom, got breakfast. Food was good, eggs were a bit spongy and kind of bland in flavor. The other ingredients were good and all together it was a solid meal. The service was very helpful and kind and extremely attentive. This was a to go order so I'm a bit more lenient, it's worth another try. For now though you're a 3 star organization.
I eat here more often than I would like to admit, probably 2 or 3 times a week. I can’t say enough wonderful things about them! The food, the service, the atmosphere…it’s all so good!!! And the prices are so reasonable. Love love love!
Rio was excellent I mean they were short staffed but we were prepared and wasn't really in a hurry. I was very impressed with the patio dining it was very pleasant it was cold inside I was kinda hesitant but once I was out there it was nice. I will give this 1 young lady her kudo she's a I guess host she seat us down and the table wasn't that clean for 1 of my friends we asked her if table could get cleaned without a complaint or hesitation she did it. The food was good. My friend had a complaint she asked for 2 different kinds of alcohol drinks but was only allowed 1 didn't know why but she wasn't happy. For me I will return. Thanks Rio everything was great
Normally its good eats but today..... Well, let's just say they must have a new cook cause it sucked. Food way over cooked. Service was decent but I went to lunch for the food not so much the service
These folks are short staffed right now but still provide great service, just be patient. Great enchiladas, and fantastic Tres Leches.
Favorite place to eat in Pville. Good everything! Food quality, service, drinks, price, and atmosphere :) lunch specials are soooo cheap and yummy.
