A Pflugerville favorite with the locals, this tex mex restaurant offers good food at good prices. Stopped in for lunch and was seated promptly, there's plenty of parking out front. Got our complimentary warm chips and mildly spicy salsa, which I really liked! Had a bit of a wait for our entrees, but they were worth waiting for, and service was friendly. I had the Plato Todos plate, which had a cheese enchilada, tamale, beef taco, and chalupa with a dollop of guacamole. My wife enjoyed two cheese enchiladas, taco, and refried beans, (no rice by request). A side of corn tortillas came out hot and are complimentary, too.We devoured every bite, and the prices are quite reasonable. Our total bill before tip was about $27..... each entree was $9.99 and soft drinks are $2.50.
I have a buddy who told me this was the best Mexican food he's had this far south of the border....of Canada! He's from Alaska, what does he know about Mexican food...I was here with a friend and we both agreed that we've had better food. Nothing wrong with the food, just saying we've had better. Our server was fantastic, very attentive, nice job!
I have been coming to this place for years and have always had a good experience, up until recently. The last two times we’ve eaten here the food was gross (tasteless and cold), the queso tastes like store bought velveeta, the servers have been awful (taking forever to come to the table, serving incorrect drinks, nasty attitudes), they have always served breakfast all day (which was awesome) and our server told me I couldn’t order from the breakfast menu anymore ?. I’m not sure what’s going on with this place but management needs to shape up. We won’t be coming back again, which is super disappointing considering they have the best Migas I’ve ever had.
If you like Velveeta & Roaches...? Server was experienced and nice? Prices are decent? Strawberry Margarita was good? Food came out fast?Drink order was wrong but server corrected immediately?? Waited a LONG time to get the check??? Didn't get what I ordered... ordered two enchiladas, one cheese & one chicken. Received two cheese enchiladas??? The cheese in enchiladas tasted like Velveeta??? Portable a/c unit in the back room, where we were seated, couldn't keep up with the heat. It was barely cooler than outside on a 97⁰ day.????? Huge roach ran across the floor and right under our table ? it ran in circles under my feet which I was holding up ?Never going back!
We were in town visiting our son in Pflugerville and decided to stop in at El Rincon since he had never been there either. Every single dish was delicious! The flour tortillas were the best I've ever had. The fish tacos were grilled (my favorite) and full of flavor. My husband had the NY strip steak that came smothered in a spicy sauce and my son had the Shrimp Al La Diabla, which was grilled and also covered in a spicy sauce. Both said their dishes were outrageously good. We stopped by for breakfast a could of days later and were again impressed with the quality of the food and the fast, friendly service. Highly recommend!
The worst Mexican food I've ever had! Firstly, I ordered over the phone so I could pick up. They asked me to wait 15 to 20 minutes for pickup. I gave them 25. I get there my order still not ready. They asked me to wait 5 minutes. 12 minutes later I finally get my order. I ordered a bowl of pozole and a crispy beef taco. The pozole was terrible. It had no flavor! The crispy beef taco shell was store-bought. It was like an old El Paso taco shell type. Very disappointing. I could have gone to Taco Bell and gotten the same thing and saved $12. The only reason I am giving it two Stars was because the beef in the taco was halfway decent.Never again!
Good place but you must choose what you eat. Enchiladas....not very good. Fajitas...were like BUTTER....that GOOD!Entertainment was AWESOME! Waitstaff,...very very mediocre and could use some training on how to handle the customers when it's busy.
Seated promptly and server was quick to take my order. The salsa was so fresh and delicious. I ordered the beef chimichanga with queso. The queso wasn’t very good- more like velveeta. Beans and rice were good. Chimichanga was average.
Food was good .
We got there rather late close to closing and got the bottom of the barrel queso wasn't to happy with that. The flautas were double corn tortilla fried so way bulky for a flauta. The beans tasted blan and as for the rice well not a fan of that either.
