I live nearby and ordered to go. Such a nice staff! Eager to get my order to me. Tortilla chips are extra crispy. Nachos were made with half tortillas. Cheese chile relleno had what seemed New Mexico red sauce. Loved it. Chile con queso, enchiladas, flan, etc, all good. Corn tortillas were freshly made and warm. Got two frozen margaritas to go. My daughter and I ate the food while binge watching Celebrity Ghost Stories. Terrific fun!
Business operated quick, and respectful. Chips were just the right crunch without hurting your teeth. The red and green salsa were definitely made today and tasted great. I was afraid to put hot sauce on anything because all of the food was palette pleasing. It brought tears to my eyes how good the la fiesta plate was. I'm coming back. Freshness is there. The rice was flavored, not dried out, and had an easy chew. Pork flavor is very present in refried beans and I love it.
This was our best visit to date. We found the sweet spot time to come. No wait, fast service. Our meals were excellent and our wires was very friendly and attentive. BTW, the new uniforms are very nice and add to the atmosphere.The margaritas were very good, especially for house margaritas.
Great food and excellent friendly service. I go for the pozole which is a seasonal item. The pozole is excellent. The flour tortillas are handmade, a requirement. The menu is varied. The iced tea is good and strong but the to-go cups are small.
While waiting for a good little bit, no one asked if we were waiting for an order or looking to dine in. While there is someone behind the tortilla machine on the phone texting and just glanced at us for minute. To the lady standing behind the cash register not even greeting us in when we walked it. They definitely didn’t want our business.
Well..we always thought Casa Garcias was good, but tonite it was awful. We ordered Nachos and 30 minutes later, still no Nachos. We asked our server, she sent the manager over who said there was a mix up in the kitchen. Ummm....really? It's just nachos. So we said we would just take them to go. The manager comped the order. When we got home, we opened the box to soft bean Nachos that were absolutely tasteless and soggy. The free Nachos were inedible. Won't be going back to the Pflugerville restaurant ever.
I’m giving them 5 stars because they have consistently served high quality, delicious food. They seem to be understaffed (as everyone is in 2021/2022) so service has suffered. I don’t blame the waitresses as it’s clear they are working hard. There have only been 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant all the times we have been for dinner in 2021 (about 10 times). We try to go at 5pm so there won’t be a wait as we have 3 kids. We get seated immediately or within 5 minutes. Hot chips and salsa are always served immediately. The waitress usually comes by in a normal amount of time expected. It’s spotty service from there in that they are so understaffed. Food is good, but we will be trying to find elsewhere for now until they have more staff for tables.
Seriously the best posole I've ever had! Huge bowl with tender pork and a super flavorful broth. Honestly, got a bowl to go so I can have more tomorrow! Also, there is something about their chips... they are delicious ?!
The food looked delicious, but it wasn't. It wasn't flavorful at all. It wasn't gross, but it just wasn't good. It's very rare to find a Mexican restaurant with good chefs. Our waitress was nice. The hostess in the beginning had a bad attitude. I'm only giving it 2 stars because of our waitress, but if it wasn't for her I would've given it 1 star.
Honestly am so sad to write this review I've been coming here for over 10 years last weekend I had a waitress who just didn't care about our experience I even left her a good tip 8 dollars on a 40 dollar tab not like this matters but im not trying to be spiteful. Furthermore I won't name names but I didn't get even one refill on my or my dates drink "I can understand it was around 9pm maybe she's tired from a long day" when she brought us our dinner she forgot to give us silverware "its okay these things happen" I got my own from the very helpful lady at the front desk I just have never had someone completely ignore me I love it here but am sad to say I'll avoid it for a few months just didn't expect to have a bad experience with such a classic restraunt choice for me
