Ordered a three meat combo plate with side of green beans and coleslaw.Meats were brisket, pork and Sausage.Restaurant was cleanService was fast but not friendly or invitingMeats, brisket was cold, thin and tastless, bbq sauce was good.Sausage was good but it preflavoured so hard to get wrongPork was oily and tasted too much cinnamon strange flavour.Green beans were inedible. Canned beans, cold, bacon was fatty and coagulatedColeslaw was goodJalapeno bread was OK tooBasically paid $22 bucks for small portions of meat thar was nothing spectacular, ordinary side with sone inedible.Yeah i wont be back anytime soon.
Tried this place a couple weeks ago mid day and was served the best sliced beef sandwich I have had in YEARS. The onion bun was a great touch. The bread was just right, but the brisket…. AWESOME! The sauce is incredibly delicious! Decided to try it again today and it was EXCELLENT AGAIN! Served hot and sliced right in front of you. Great people, great food I would give 6 stars if I could! Also, I got a small order of pork ribs and they were very tasty and falling off the bone! Not over cooked but with just the right amount of bbq. These great folks know how to bbq!! I would post a picture but THERES NOTHING LEFT I ATE IT ALL!!!
The food was fresh and hot. Had two three meat plates and a chopped beef baked potato. Absolutely delicious!I left my credit card there, realized it the next day and they actually had it! Talk about integrity!
Extremely Noisey! I wanted sliced pork they did not have it so I settled for pork spare ribs I received 4 of them with Mac and cheese that I would rate a zero and coleslaw and a fountain drink for 20.00. I could of had much better food at Killens barbecue for that price! I won't be coming back
We need bbq police in Houston and surrounding areas, the stuff these people sell ain't tasty or BBQ. Not uneatable, I was able to eat the food. Did not have to throw it away. Atmosphere is strange, two lady's act like they are just there, customer service is nonexistent.
Once upon a time, this BBQ joint was great. The customer service has never been good but the food was. The online menu says that a Chopped Beef/Brisket Sandwich is $4.75. I just placed a phone order for 4 sandwiches and the total when I paid was $37.89... That is $8.50 per sandwich. I called to speak with the manager and he had no explanation as to why the prices were different. I then asked when the owner would be in. The "Manager" said he didn't know. The best advice I can give is to avoid this place. The food today was not great. Very bland. Just not the same as it used to be.
I wish I could give 0 stars because they don't deserve 1 star! I honestly don't see how this place is still open! Service was GARBAGE! No kind of greeting at all just a blank a** stare! Food was bland and cold! Only thing was warm was the potato! They should just order sauce from their food vendor instead of trying to make their own! Would NEVER go back! Only think I enjoyed here was a sprite!
Sad service. I had to repeat the order 2 times to her. She still forgot the drinks. Then forgot to ask my husband what would he like, she seemed in a hurry. Charged my cc and didn't handled the receipt for me or a pen to sign it. I could have just walked away with it. Smh. I had to look around her counter for a pen.
Walk in it was empty been awhile since I last visited. Stood in line to employees working the line never greeted me. I’m standing there probably 5 mins started walking towards the door then the guy says “You ready I can help you”. Get my food no one tells me about the self serve pickles n onions to the side. Get home and I realized why I haven’t been back. Everything dry with no flavor. My wife n I both threw our whole plate away. Restaurants if your customer service sucks make sure your food is good. Ps the sauce was the worse sauce I’ve ever had with bbq.
Brisket was dry. Sauce was not great, not even as good as what you get the grocery store. Very average, edible bbq
