AWFUL as always , I prefer to drive to Webster or Meyerland location , because service and food is better . Went to the Pearland location at Silverlake today and my daughter found some white stuff in her drink and so we returned it , and got another one , no big deal . Then in my daughters food there was a bug in it . The manager came over and took the bug with her and said she would take her plate off the bill but did not offer any other type of compensation for the inconvenience or the fact that the whole experience killed my daughter’s appetite and everyone else’s. So we ended pretty much paying for food that we didn’t eat . Management is horrible , the food is horrible , the service is a hit or miss , but usually a miss. Go to another location because at this one the price is not worth the poor value.
We stopped at Saltgrass because my husband loves prime rib. Unfortunately they removed it from the menu. He ordered pork ribs and the sauce was too sweet for him. My shrimp was good.Service was excellent. Our server was super nice. We were seated right away and had no issues at all with the employees.The music was very loud. I'm autistic and it was very overwhelming. I would not recommend eating here if you have children who are noise sensitive. I am usually okay with loud music in restaurants but maybe it was the type of music? It was bad enough I got a headache and had to lay down when I got home.
Walked in & quickly thought the restaurant looked immaculately tidy & overall, welcoming. It took maybe 5 minutes, but we were waited on & we got our bread. It was about this point that we realized the 5 minutes for service was a prelude to the rest of the visit. My wife wasn't exactly happy with her choice of sweet tea, so she asked him for a Coke Zero (and I gave her my Coke Zero, as i knew it would be 5 minutes). Surprisingly, he refilled my Zero & brought her a regular Coke - after a quick reminder, he came back, fairly quickly. But, that's how this visit was. Good bread & butter, but a bit of a wait. Good salads, but a wait. Poor guy wasn't showing any signs of slowing around us, but he was simply slow & forgetful. Maybe some training on efficiency - 3 tables is lightweight...
Customer service was great John was my waiter he gets 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and my food was excellent my drink was just ok I got a white Cosmo with Grey goose
The food was very good. I had not had the classic chopped steak in a few years, and it was just as tasty as I remember. That cognac pepper sauce is yummy!Service was great as well. Promptly seated, but the waiter took a little longer to come to the table than expected. However, he redeemed himself with great service and attentiveness.
I think the photo speaks for itself, thankfully DoorDash refunded me but hopefully I don't get sick since I took a bite and realized the texture was extremely off..
I have had a better dinning experience while riding public transportation in NYC. The food was decent and delicious once it got to us; that wasn't the problem. The problem began when they tried to sit us at a table next to the kitchen. Now in that doesn't sound all that bad but, if you have eaten out anytime this century being next to the kitchen and bathrooms are the worst spot in the house E.g.; because, when next to the kitchen all you hear is servers and cooks complaining about whatever and then when they exit they will bump into you. So i politely asked to sit at another table. It's not like the place was packed or anything. Our second problem started after the table fiasco. It took 20 minutes before a waiter even walked over to take my drinks order much less introduce themselves. But, for 20 dollars I got a nice anorexic steak ( I mean this thing was small; six ounces yeah right, wheres the scale.) Oh and I got a salad. Salt grass is nothing more than a fancy overpriced version of Texas Roadhouse in my opinion. I most definitely won't be back.
The entire team was extremely polite and courteous in accommodating us! I would like to especially highlight our server, Jay. He was exceptional in ensuring that every person had what they needed. He kept our beverages full and everything was very timely! Jay, made our dinner extra special by going above and beyond. Before we could ask for anything, he was always on it! He kept a smile and was very polite! The food was AMAZING! Thank you Saltgrass!
Good service good food nice atmosphere
I normally don't have any issues with the service or food items at Saltgrass until Feb 2022. I ordered a wedge salad and a cup of soup. I received a very small wedge of lettuce (paid $5.99) with a packet of ranch and a small container only half filled with soup (paid $5.99). I had really been looking forward to this for dinner and it was totally ruined. This is not the normal for thus establishment.
