Great food!Excellent customer service!I was so hungry, I began eating before taking a picture.I had the Curry Chicken w/potatoes;For my sides, I had cabbage, collard greens, and mac & cheese!Everything was fresh, tasty, & the greens were tender like I like them. Nothing was salty, but seasoned just right!There was a bit for a wait, which I did not mind, because I could not decide what I wanted. The people in front of me had the same dilemma! So many good choices.....!!!Fried pork chop, smothered pork chops -baked chick, smothered chick, roasted chick, jerk chick.- meatloaf, lasagna, Salisbury steak....- oxtails- seafood Alfredo- all sorts of sides : some with turkey & some with pork- vegetable plate options- assorted desserts and drinks.LOVE Me some #MIKKIS Cafe - both locations
My brother who stay in Houston Texas took me and my husband there today and I must say the FOOD tasted just like my auntie cooking. Everything was fresh to order and the wait time was less than five minutes. Great customer service and great atmosphere. I will be moving to Houston soon and this place will definitely be my to go to for some good southern soulfood cooking.

This is my first time to come here and I am highly impressed. The service is great, staff is friendly and the food is the best soul food I have ever had. If you haven’t tried this yet, you are missing out! You get a lot of food for a great price. Everyone should experience the joy this place just brought me. Excellent food, excellent staff and excellent environment. Reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking and that is saying a lot!
Mikki's Soul Food Cafe Pearland location drive through microphone continuously cut out so Fantasia couldn't hear order yet I heard her laughing and others in the background clearly speaking. No worries. The Peach Cobbler lacked Pie crust breading making it taste like sugar and applesauce consistency receipt #105. The portion amounts are good based on prices but the food was bland with no Soul!The mashed potatoes had no gravy, tasted like dumplings seriously and had thickened play dough texture! So disappointed! The stalks on the Collards were huge and not discarded but cooked! I toss stems! The chicken was so dry it couldn't be eaten! The macaroni cheese added to the sadness and the cornbread crumbled! The cornbread was flat, crumbled, and did not rise? The receipts show what was ordered but not Our dissatisfaction with both meals. The Red Velvet cake was moist so that's why they received two stars. Won't make this miss take again Mikki's. Online order prices are lower than drive through posted prices! Be aware. I will not return.
Some one need to work on improving filling takeout orders. I ordered 3 dinner oxtails, fried chicken and smothered pork chops, plus 2 extra hamburger steaks for pickup. When my son returned home with order I had only 2 dinners the oxtails and fried chicken. Sides that I ordered were not on the right plates. When I called phone never answered I immediately emailed them and no response 5 days later. I had same experience with a previous order last month thru Grub hub. However grub hub refunded my money. Now realizing it was the restaurant that has a problem filling takeout orders. Food is good.
