Like all Kelly's the portion sizes will fill you up, the sides are not typically anything special to write home about, but serviceable and fresh.Breakfast is always really something good.Recently though, I've had a couple of off-putting experiences like the one I detail below that occurred this previous evening at dinner.I ordered the "BBQ baked potato". It came to the table without BBQ sauce, so I requested some to which the server replied that it would cost extra. I was puzzled, but I ask how much extra they would charge me, and she said it would cost an additional $1.75 to have BBQ sauce on my "BBQ baked potato"!That is as absurd as it would be to charge someone who orders pancakes extra to give them syrup! I have had a couple of these sort of experiences here at the Pearland location. Never have had this sort of trip from League City (before it burned down) or Dickinson locations. I guess all Kelly's restaurants are not created equal.I ate less of it than I would have otherwise, so I could bring it home where I have BBQ sauce in the fridge and it was better when it was wet with the sauce.The absurdity of being charged extra for BBQ sauce for a BBQ plate left me disappointed. =(An accurate rating would be 2 1/2 stars with potential for 4+ stars because the other locations have always left me full in my belly and feeling great about my dining experience.
Pretty pretty good! Based off a cool Houston police officer...! Badge number 1.This man retired and made darn good country kitchen food. Period. Their massive country fried steak is darn good.! I also tried a bit of the biscuit and that was good. And it is texas big as well!I had the burger and it was good for the price. I would get another burger there and I tend to be dumb picky about my burgers because I don't eat alot of meat.
Driving by and saw the big sign with Country Fried Steak Special on it. Also the parking lot was full. This place is a large size restaurant and it was packed full of silver foxes happily chowing down. So when in Rome... we ordered the cfs special. Wow big n juicy! My friend has never eaten one before and he loved it. Your mac n cheese and chocolate pie was real good too! Great southern home cooking diner. We never had to ask for coffee and water refills. Everyone was very nice.
The food here is just bland and flavorless. If you need to eat plates the size of pizza pans then I think you’ll love it… but definitely nothing to brag about.
Stopped at Kelly’s on the way home placed an order for dinner and thought I would get a peach cobbler to eat later. Boy was I wrong! I truly wish you can see this container the pictures can’t get everything. There is barely a piece of cobbler in this container. Shame on you Kelly’s for even serving this
The only reason I am giving four stars is because of a waitress named Debbie I’ve been to this restaurant on several occasions and she speaks to her co workers so rude and she is not professional. She was actually my server on my visit today, we waited about 20 minutes before we ordered and once she came over she rushed taking our order she even cut my husband off. I am actually typing this review while waiting to ask for our ticket and to go boxes. There was no wait at the door and I’ve had faster service when there was a wait. The food was good as usual, but I think someone with more patience and people skills should possibly replace or retrain Debbie. The ladies serving drinks were awesome and maybe they should be allowed to help take orders because Debbie is struggling to keep up and be nice.
I love this place. The food is delicious. I been in Texas for 8 years and I am glad I was introduced to this place.
Kelley's has home style cooking. I had a chicken fried chicken lunch plate with two side dishes. And a lot of white gravy on top of the chicken fried chicken. As always - too much to eat.For a good meal at a great price - Kelley's is hard to beat. Yum, yum.
The service was excellent, but I have to say the food was even better.. great place to grab a bite to eat. You definitely get your money's worth.
This baked potato is ginormous. It's certainly enough for 2. The chopped beef was a little sweet but I have a sweet tooth so I didn't mind it at all. Can't wait to go back at try some of the other menu items.
