The waitress Lynda was very patience, kind and helpful. She made my first time to the restaurant very pleasant. Great job ??
Let’s start with the positives! (Shorter list)The food was freshly made hot and tasted good. The one Dr Pepper that I had to drink was refreshing and good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 out of 5 starts on the food !After church the family decided that Cracker Barrel would be our place to have breakfast today. I was told the wait time would be 30 minutes to 45 minutes that soon turned into one hour and five minutes. We were a party of six and I understand that larger parties take longer to be seated. No a problem when you get good food and service, and in the past that is what we have gotten from Cracker Barrel good food and service! But not this time unfortunately. After placing our food order, it took 55 minutes to get the first plate of food on our table, at this point it had been an hour and 55 minutes from our time of arrival till we got one plate of food on the table. During the 55 minutes after being seated we’ve seen our waitress a total of three times. when she initially came to the table and introduced yourself and took our order. The second time was when she brought the drinks to our table and the last time was when she brought the food to the table. The order wasn’t complete. We couldn’t get any drink refills condiments are not available and the waitress to help us with any of our issues. My daughter is a waitress and reminds me all the time that we do not know as customers , everything that happens behind the scenes and some things are not in the waitresses or waiters ability to control and yet they have to pay for the mistakes of others. my daughter agreed today that the customer service was horrendous that a few things the waitress had control over such as condiments refilling drinks checking on her tables she didn’t bother doing. My wife bought these issues to the attention of one of the managers and by surprise the manager didn’t seem very concerned with the issue of the waitress having horrible customer service and just over not doing her job to the best of her abilities. It seems as if the waitress learned from management the customer service is probably not a priority on her list. Very disappointing.
Should give this place a negative 5. Went in this morning right before 8 Sunday morning. There was no host or hostess on duty. I made eye contact with the cashier and servers for about 10 minutes then finally was seated. I was given a menu and was told someone would be with me shortly. Never happened. Servers kept walking past me ignoring me so 15 minutes later I got up and left.
Dined in, party of 2, around 8:30 am on a Thursday. We were seated pretty quickly as there weren't very many people dining in. We both ordered the French toast which we both ended up sending back. There was literally a sheet of egg on top and it had absolutely no flavor, just bread soaked in egg. We ended up ordering the pancakes, they were better but kinda soft in the center. The hash brown casserole did not taste fresh and it was not hot. The bacon was pretty thin. The only thing I like is their syrup. The service was also poor. The waitress asked me if I wanted more coffee and never came back to refill my cup. I had to track her down. The food and service is very subpar. Also, they gave us both plastic and silverware but all of the silverware was dirty. It is highly unlikely that I will return.
Love this place. Always hospitality is A1 on point. Our server Selma was so nice, prompt, and respectful. Thanks Selma for giving us a very pleasant visit. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious. The pancakes were to die for. Great location-in and out spot. Awesome service from Selma and awesome food. A great way to start the day.
Normally, I don't get excited about this place or the food. But the service today was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had dining out since the restart. Brie was our (me & my cousin) server. And it was her first day on the job. She was wonderful! Her personality was very bubbly and bright she constantly smiled. My cousin and I were jokingly messing with her about being a "Rookie" and we all laughed and had a pleasant time. She just has really great personality and sense of humor. Today was her uncle's surprise birthday and she really wanted hoped to get off in time to make there, I truly hope that she did. I wish Brie all the best on her studies and her life's journey!
My Server Kevin he was wonderful, very attentive always wanted to make sure my order was correct. I’m sorry I was moody with him, over all was spectacular, inspite of my mood he was still nice attentive and caring. Great job Kevin will be back soon
First visit to a Cracker Barrel. Overall, it was a good experience with some room for improvement. Pros and cons based on my experience:Pros:1. Good ambiance. CBs have a signature style and it gives a good dining experience.2. Food is cooked to order so it tastes fresh and good. Some items like the beef roast of course are slow cooked so those items are based on whether they have it.3. Wait staff was friendly.Cons:1. Service timing could be better. It took us a good 10 mins to be seated even though it didn't seem like a very busy evening. It looked like they were understaffed. Food was also late to come out. A table seated after us was served before us.2. American food is generally on the bland side. So personally, I would have liked better flavor and more spices. I didn't mind it though but it could be better.3. The cornbread and biscuits were dry. Not moist at all.
Haven't seen waitress since she took order. Brought corn bread I said biscuits, forgot Cole slaw, man said waiting on biscuits they came out cold not even warm. The whole meal was barely warm, no ice in ice tea. Worst visit ever here. Wanted dessert but nobody came back to see.
Mrs. Jill made our wait a lot more tolerable with her genuine hospitality, and Mr.Kenmade our dining experience fun and entertaining. (THEY BOTH DESERVE A RAISE!)My Family and I will gladly be back again!
