This is a great place. The good is well seasoned and great hosts. I came because their fried bread pudding is like big mouth fulls of happiness. Its just an added bonus that their food tastes great all around!
I love Sudie's. The catfish is probably the best out of all seafood restaurants. All sides are well seasoned and delicious. The price is excellent for what they give you. Give them a try ??

Dining room always clean, food has always been great until tonight. The batter completely fell off chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes were served cold. The coleslaw and complimentary hushpuppies were great. I'll go back because I've eaten there for years and never had a problem in the past. The service was attentive and expeditious.
Popped in here for the first time yesterday to get a to-go order. I was immediately greeted with smiling faces and friendly conversations. Service was QUICK. I was in and out in less than 3 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the Catfish Cozumel, Blackened Catfish, and the Seafood Fondue. Loved everything about it.
They've been open for ages and even though I've lived close, I'd never been. After hearing so many rave reviews, I was really ready to try this place!The hush puppies were raw in the middle (still liquid), they were out of oysters, fried green tomatoes and my salad looked as if it had been sitting out since the day before!Well, at least the tea was good!
Food is OK. Crawfish is fare. Waitress was really good and fast. Unfortunately, the two so called host didn't bother to tell the people lining up that you had to give them your name. We've been there several times and never had to do this. Instead they just waited for people to walk up to them without anyone know you had to give them you name. When I question that we had been there longer than the person several people down the line the fool hosting said that he had come up first. Not a good way to start your meal. Needless to say, several people got bypassed because of this. There are other fried fish places to go to.
Was part of a group in the private dining room... Was next to the kitchen so there was noise... The food was okay.. was a good choice of entrees. Service was good... Friendly staff...
I drive down Spencer everyday and have always seen this restaurant empty. Was craving seafood so my husband and I decided to pull in. To our surprise food was good. If you love gumbo and know gumbo do not try here. But everything else was good.Fried green tomatoes we good size portion and with the fried mushrooms. My husband rates theBourdain balls a nine.Sam the waiter was very nice and enthusiastic.We will return.Thank you for the good food and great service.
My husband and I went to sudie's with my brother and his wife and her mother. Sudie's has the best catfish and seafood I have ever eaten. Food was wonderful service was great enjoyed myself tremendously. Plan to go again soon.
