Ordering to go was great. The food on the other hand just not what you expect when you order a hamburger quesadilla. The meat was 1/2 hamburger meat and 1/2 spicy sausage. No where on the menu does it tell you it has sausage in it. I can’t eat sausage. I have ulcers in my mouth and yes it hurt badly!! So my meal French fries and my husband’s coleslaw. He had fish and chips and said it was just ok, but edible and will not order it again.As I am new here and trying out all the restaurants, I will give it another go. But will order differently and cautiously ?
There were only 4 tables with customers and yet we had to wait a long time for our meal. Chicken and shrimp had so much garlic, we were unable to eat it and we love garlic. Only saw our waitress twice. She didn't bring the sweetener back as asked. Tried to check out, didn't have our check so they had to find her, she was outside. A man brings our chips/salsa who promptly spills it all over our table and says sorry he will be back, he doesn't so I cleaned it. It was a horrible experience. Our waitress never smiled.
I've been coming to this restaurant location since it opened. It has gone straight down hill. Whoever is in charge of management and hiring is failing at their job. They didn't have ingredients for drinks, didn't have the side options for entrees, lied about being out of things since COVID. It's sad this place used to be such a good place to eat and spend time with family. Whoever owns this location needs to give its employees an overhaul before they have to close the doors.
Server came 2 times (1 time to get drink order and I ordered my food then as well and 1 time to bring food and my drink LATE)! Then he never came again. I had to walk to the manager sitting in a booth on her phone close to me to give her my money to pay (already waited 30 minutes while having money in hand to pay and my server walked by twice and I called him and he ignored me like I never spoke so I went to the manager then) and I told her then about my experience and she was rude. Terrible period. Will not return for a LONG time.
It's 60⁰ out. We get there about 10:50pm. Go in, the A/C is blasting so hard I go get me and my GF hoodies. It's still so cold we move from where we were seated to the bar. Warmer but still cold. Guys asked us for our drink order, sweet tea and water. 15 minutes later (being generous) no drinks, nobody asking us for our order, nobody to ask to turn off the freeze. We walked out 40 minutes after we arrived. Nobody noticed cause nobody was around. So much for being fancy on a date night.
20 minutes to get anything to drink. 45 minutes for inedible food. Cold and dry. Several tables complained about cold food. Horrible. No olives available in the bar and I really wanted the perfect margarita ?.
Applebee's in Palestine Texas is a highly recommended restaurant from myself and my family.The steaks were perfectly done, the wait staff were attentive without being obtrusive, the establishment was clean, and finally, the manager was friendly and attentive.We have visited several times and have received the same great quality of service and food each time.
Usually we order to-go, and never have any issues with the food, but we actually went inside to eat this time and it was not that great of an experience. Our mashed potatoes and French fries were cold, and shrimp wasn't really grilled. Our server wouldn't just stop and listen to us, he almost seemed uncomfortable stopping at our table for longer than 10 seconds. We would ask for something and he cut us off, said "ok" and took off before we even finished. Plus he didn't write anything down, he tried to remember everything, so he ended up forgetting things. The manager was very kind though, she did make sure my meal was fixed and personally came to make sure everything was OK. A separate server stopped at our table to ask if we needed something more times than our own server. It was weird. Maybe he was just new or nervous. But it made it uncomfortable.
THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, KIND, AMAZING, and AWESOME staff I have ever had the honor to be served by. Thought I was eating at home with family that loved me. Applebees company is FORTUNATE to have staff like these. Awesome EVERYTHING.
They have good food but it isnt cheap! Heard from a good friend who worked here not too long ago that they treated her like trash. If there are no better options, it'll do.
