Picked up 2 salads, chicken, corn beans. Pretty good way to go to serve 6 people. Beans are easy to spicy for this white boy. Otherwise, it's always decent fast food.
The one on 8th Street just off Grant is superior to this one. This one has a larger dining area and a play place for the kids, but the food is lacking. The birria tacos were ok but were not as flavorful as 8th. The chicken in the super burrito was very dry. The 1/4 chicken was very greasy and had me questioning if it was fully cooked. My husband assured me it was, but the quality was so bad when compared to the other location. If you have only tried the food here, I encourage you to give the other one a try.
We had come before and really enjoyed it, but overall service and quality as been declining. We ordered a family meal, it came out to $60, with very little rice and beans, for bearly 2 people. The ribs where very rubbery and not cooked correctly, they needed to be cooked way longer, they where inedible had to throw them in the trash as they where. The cheese from the corn stays on the clumped in the foil, goes hard before attempting to eat it. The sausage was a little burned. The tortillas where really hard, also had to throw them away. The only thing we enjoyed was the chicken and the salsa bar. Service was bad from a lady working there, she really didn't wanted to be there.
Had never been here before ... worst customer service I have ever had I was shocked!! Person taking my order on the speaker was rude and not professional at all u was asking a question about the menu since it was my first time there she was talking to another employee with speaker on I said I'm sorry she said I ain't talking to you ? I went on to the window and told them to cancel my order I refuse to give a place my business when they don't deserve it
ORDERED A WHOLE CHICKEN, A SIDE OF CHARRO BEANS AND RICE AS WELL AS A BRISKET BURRITO BUT THERES NO SALT OR FLAVOR ON ANYTHING! FOOD DOESNT HAVE THE SAME TASTE IT USE TO, MAYBE THEY CHANGED COOKS? THEY BROUGHT ME THE INCORRECT CHICKEN, ASKED FOR THE ONE WITH RED SAUCE SMOTHERED ALL OVER INSTEAD THEY BROUGHT ME THE ONE WITHOUT IT AT HAD NO FLAVOR. ORDERED A “CAHUAMA” WHICH ITS ALMOST A 40 OUNCE BEER BUT ASKED FOR MODELO, THEY BROUGHT ME A “SOL” BEER, MY LEAST FAVORITE. CHARRO BEANS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BACON AND WEINERS AND DIDNT HAVE EITHER, WHATS THE POINT OF PAYING MORE AND ONLY GET JALAPEÑOS IN YOUR BEANS AND YES NO SALT IN THEM EITHER!, THE RICE FAILED TO HAVE ANY FLAVOR OR AT LEAST SALT. THIS PLACE WASN’T WHAT IT USE TO BE. NEEDS QUALITY CONTROL.
In the last couple weeks since coming back to West Texas, I've brought a couple people too eat here. The parking lot is pretty big so you don't really notice how busy it is inside. It was, even at the end of rush hour, it was pretty packed. FOR GOOD REASON! I've had chicken from the food trucks of the same name, so naturally I assumed it was the main good served there. The menu is very diverse from great looking chicken wings to big ol hamburgers to great smelling Mexican food, and of course, pit smoked meats. This restaurant in particular was fast paced, so there was cleaning needed but it got tended to right away. Everyone was friendly, joking around even despite the lunch rush. Great place for quick service and even better food!
This is the perfect example of the sayin “great idea, bad execution” lol buena idea, pésima ejecución.The only good thing here is the pollo and the ribs, respect for those and if they are to go! If you live near by you can enjoy them hot and they are delicious!!But the restaurant itself is always super dirty, the forks and spoons are outside the dispenser, like what’s the point, tables all dirty, no napkins, we tried the tacos and they were cold and just horrible. The aguas frescas were not legit, they were powder ones. En fin, only ordering chicken and ribs to go!The cashier lady was super friendly!!
Went and picked up a #8 for lunch yesterday. Waited at drive thru 10 minutes before anyone took my order. Asked for chopped brisket with potato salad and coleslaw. Got home and they gave me sliced brisket with a lot of fat, potato salad and macaroni salad. Only thing they got right was the potato salad. Won't be going back.
Update, Was good when I dine in and when Purchase the barbecue through drive-through It wasn't that good I call the manager That if he can replace the food cuz looked like they gave us left overs, but that there was a lot of people calling for free food I make plenty of money to pay for whatever He mentioned it like if I wanted free food will never go back to this place again!
I just came here after work today and ordered a brisket plate. The brisket is 90% fat and they messed up both of my sides. Not to mention the bag it came in leaked all over my car.
