Go to the one on Hancock Avenue.Even better, go to Honey Donuts on Dixie and 42nd. They're newer and underrated, but the best donuts in town. Huge, fluffy, and melt-in-your mouth. The OG Southern maid is (sadly) a very very close 2nd.The two times I've been there the people have been really weird, the donuts were gross and stale-tasting, and just generally feels like a sketchy place. I was excited because we were told we had to try this place and that they had great donuts. I was very disappointed though, first off they only take cash which isn’t the end of the world but it’s a hassle to have to go get cash just for donuts and especially in a day when everyone uses a credit or debit card. Secondly, the donuts weren’t that great, they were dry and tasted like the box donuts from the store. I’m kinda upset now that I went though all that effort for donuts I could’ve gotten at Walmart.
One of the 2 Best donut shops in town. Family owned. Want something filled with custard or jelly just ask. They will do it right them. This is a personal favorite of mine. Try them early morning while they are still hot!!
