Horrible service, took an hour to get our food! Food wasn’t that good, forgetful waiter! Won’t be back!
Did not live up to other Saltgrass locations, very disappointed in service and food. Staff was very slow and lackadaisical. there were 2 other tables so a “crowd” was not to blame. Waste of time and money.
we come at 5:00pm Monday. sat immediately. not busy. me my husband and 3yr old daughter. receptionist was very perfect with her role. waited about 7 for drink & appetizers to finally be ordered. drinks come immediately. about 10 later someone bring apps. have to ask for waitress for refills and to order menu is nothing that it used to be. my meal is off and my husband's as well no longer served. waited about 30 minutes for waitress to finally arrive. try to order, to be informed not on menu (we didn't look to see 1st just assumed it would always be there) asked for a moment to look at the menu. while looking and eating apps the ranch was extremely watery. extremely watery. waited a while to order. asked again for refills again from another waiter. asked for waitress again to get check bc we were tired of waiting to order she just never come around. had she showed up every few minutes to refill drinks or check we woke have ordered. but passed after waiting 45 to 50 minutes total for our waitress to only come to the table 1 time by choice and 1 more time by request for check to go bc we were tired of waiting to order. I wish yall still had the good food we loved so much and the ranch was a thick good yummy ranch worth dipping apps in. not milk with specs. super disappointed. was worth the money back in 2018. not worth the 30$ we spent on the terrible service and appetizer.
I have never had a bad experience when visiting a Saltgrass location, this time was no exception. The staff was very pleasant, the restaurant was spotless (as were the bathrooms) and the food was nicely prepared and hot.The fried mushrooms were especially nice. I am always blown away by how they can be fried so well yet maintain great taste, texture and still be juicy. Well done.
I had a steak for my entrée. Sides and appetizers were good. The steak quality I would say was decent. I did not get a topping on my steak like my wife or my brother in law. I tried both of their steaks and the toppings are definitely something you want to consider to really get a good-great steak experience. Service was professional.
I’ve been to salt grass before in Austin but this is the worse one I’ve been to. We arrived at 12pm and were seated immediately. We got our drinks and apps. After that the serviced slowed down and we finished our drinks and apps and still hadn’t ordered the food yet. We waited more time and still no one’s drinks were filled. Two tables had arrived after us and they received their full meals and one table even left before us. It’s 1:30pm still not received our food and drinks only filled once when we sat there for a while with no one speaking with us. We finally asked for the check to pay for the apps and drinks and just leave. The manager spoke to us but didn’t apologize for the service, didn’t say anything to accommodate us or try to rectify the situation. A good management is able to turn a bad experience around. Please don’t waste your money on this establishment.
They stayed true to the reservation process. When we got there we were sat immediately, party of 5. The apps are pretty damn good, and they're not skimpy. The steaks are pretty well seasoned, juicy, and cooked how you order. The staff is attentive and didn't drop the ball once. Overall a great experience for an informal steakhouse. Great job

Had reservations for my dad's birthday at 7pm tonight only to have our food served about 2 hours and 30 minutes later... steaks were burnt and service was terrible... manager apologized and asked if we wanted anything else but by that time we were done... still charged us for half our items. First time there for me my family and trying to give my dad a special night out for his bday was a disaster... I feel embarrassed taking him there...
Ended the night at Saltgrass steakhouse in Odessa very disappointed in the restaurant and staff. I had never been, but a coworker suggested it. My food came out cold and my best friend's food as well, after we finally ordered. They replaced our food to make it right, which was good. Witnessed that the workers there don't wash their hands after using the bathroom and they are serving food and drinks. Mgmt didn't care and said they would supposedly talk to them about it. I'm grossed the F out right now. ?? I explained what I witnessed and they said I'm sorry about that. I know that they don't care but I do, cuz I don't care to be sick tonight or tomorrow for their lack of cleanliness. I will be letting the health dept know on Monday. I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE WHO VALUES THEIR HEALTH TO EAT THERE EVER! JS
