This was the second time I have eaten dinner here. Last year I had incredible bacon wrapped scallops!! This time I had seafood stuffed salmon. The food has been great each time. I ordered cocktails both visits as well. The margaritas were good the first time, and the Cosmopolitans I had this time were very good!I really love the fact that you don't have a long wait to have dinner on a Saturday night. The candle lit ambiance and comfortable booths are nice, as well as very good service from attentive wait staff. With cooks that know how to prepare some really good seafood!!
This is a real nice restaurant. Quality food at a reasonable price. My lady and I stopped here for lunch, we ordered a catfish strip basket w/fries and a baked potato. The potato was so fresh & hot a good size for $1.50 (lunch menu) I believe the basket cost $9.99 it came with 5 or 6 strips and a ton of fries. Sorry foodies no pics
It has been a long time since I've been here (not my neck of the woods anymore), but I swear this place has gotten better with age.My cheeseburger was excellent and my wife said her catfish was the best she's had, it was fresh and crispy.Food was great and atmosphere was great as well.
This really should be 4.5 stars if there was a way to do it. My only real complaint is the house salad was watery. I didn't go here for the salad though. Now, the fried cheese was the best I have ever had. My main course, the fried catfish and shrimp platter was very good! Both items were cooked just right. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were very good as well. I did not leave hungry. Definitely will eat here again.
We wanted some oysters and as usual Pappadeaux's was out of stock. We decided to try Ernies. Its been there forever and a day and we've never been. I suppose it was once hot competition for Red Lobster but we had no idea what to expect. The oysters were some of the largest and meatiest we've had in the North Texas area. That was really surprising. Delicious! Not a big crabcake fan but they were good. They serve you the same exact bread that you have to beg Outback to bring out for you. We didn't know what to expect but we ate at the bar mid afternoon. It was pretty dead and there's a lot of older vets that hang out there, its a little dark and pretty quiet. You can tell its a little neighborhood seafood place that locals have been going to for years. My margaritas got served in a wine glass :) but who cares! Overall, this old place was surprisingly good. Our waitress was super friendly & accommodating. Food was a little slow coming out but we weren't in a hurry so no big deal. No idea what the dinner crowd or service looks like but my review is for mid day late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and I give 4 stars.
It's been years since my last visit and always enjoyed meeting friends in a quaint atmosphere, but people move on and so did I. However, a new acquaintance indicated they met there for the Cowboy's game and so I took the opportunity to meet her and her friends.I have to say, not much had changed except for the staff. Still the same quaint atmosphere.
Loved it! Got there early evening. Loved Oysters, and Fish Tacos with beans that came more like a soup. Delicious. Sorry , did not take pictures. Suggest stopping by . Good service too.
Me and my daughter decided to visit this place. The chicken parmesan was served with a can of tomato sauce poured on top of it with finely shredded cheese that was wasn't barely melted. A very strong flavor of tomato. I ordered the breaded catfish. No flavor! The male server came to our table only once. I cannot recommend.
It was very good! We enjoyed ourselves. They have lots of things they'll cook that aren't listed on the menu. No one would know, if they didn't ask.
I had the crab cakes, they were delicious, served with two sides, two hush puppies and remoulade sauce. Fair prices, great food and service
